23.01.2022 JUST AN UPDATE WE'VE GOT 3.5 HOGGETS LEFT!..Welcome to our first order for 2021. We’re selling 4 hoggets which are 13 months old. In the meat world, when a lamb has cut its top teeth, it is officially known as a hogget or mutton to some. The meat is still very tender, super juicy and has sensational flavour. The deadline for orders is 19.2.21 for delivery to Cobar, and free pickup in Dubbo from Bourke Street Butchery, on 3.3.21. Our next lot of lambs are still 3-4 months away... from being ready. If you want to know what a ethically raised free range Dorper / Australian White meat breed tastes like jump online and read our testimonials from those who have eaten it. We have introduced a new choice to the lamb pack; a lamb rump. This cut includes the chump area which comes from the back side of the lamb, where the top of the leg meets the loin. It's a plump, lean cut, with a generous layer of fat to keep the meat even juicier. If you’re someone who loves roasts or thick slices of boneless tender meat, or those meals with minimal effort, this is a choice you and your family would enjoy. We tested this cut on the weekend, and if it’s possible to say, the meat was the most tender we’ve ever tasted. Don’t forget our half and full lambs include 1kg and 2kg thick sausages. You can also order extra by choosing the option Lamb + extra sausages. If you love sausages and mash then consider just ordering the sausages on their own if you want to try them, a very economical meal. These are made with our own lamb mince and come in the flavours of lamb and rosemary and lamb and bush honey and yes, it’s made with real honey. They are $16.50 per kg and we have a minimum order of 3kg. A review received from one of our repeat customers, Annie of Cobar. Oh, my where do I start!! I received our half lamb last week and tried a chump chop; oh, so delicious and filling no way I could have eaten two! Next day I put the lamb necks in the slow cooker and cooked them all day on low. An easy Friday night meal is definitely on the menu tonight and it doesn’t get much better than a grazing platter with our condiments, a choice of finger food and the iconic Aussie hamburger made with our premium lamb mince of course. 14.01.2022 THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH....what started as a little idea to complement our naturally grown lamb and a part-time interest for me (Ann) has far exceeded our initial vision. Firstly, we would like to thank all our stockists who have done an amazing job in promoting our products. A special mention to Rachel @western_artisans for being my first stockist with two jars of relish just to see how it would go. A couple of weeks later two bags of sourdough bark, again just to see what the... response would be. Well we all know both products have been a huge hit in Cobar, Bourke and Carinda where it is stocked and restocked and this is because of our conscious consumers. There were orders for our Nourish & Grow - Natural Lamb packs, both full and half, our Lamb/Rosemary and Lamb/Bush Honey sausages and our gourmet condiments of caramelised beetroot relish and sourdough bark. Our classic country ‘meaty’ sausages were again a real winner with 35kg being ordered as extras or as an individual item.... A delicious meal at a very reasonable price to have in your freezer for those times when you need a quick meal, a relaxing meal or when unexpected friends drop in and the conversations just keep on going, and it’s time to fire up the barbie, and throw on the Nourish & Grow sausages entertaining doesn’t get much better than that! 09.01.2022 IT’S FRIDAY, THE END OF THE WEEK, A LITTLE RAIN AND as the day rolls on, you’re thinking about the evening meal and looking for one, that sort of cooks itself. Perhaps some cheese with a little Nourish & Grow caramelised beetroot relish and sourdough bark from @western_artisans or @gumnut_gifts and your favourite wine or beer to set the scene. Do I hear a YEAH! Forget about flicking through Taste.com.au we can help. Meet our gorgeous gluten-free sausages; perfect anytime. A q...uick, economical meal that tastes delicious and the whole family will love. They’re a traditional thick meaty sausage that’s filled with as much of our premium lamb mince as the casing will hold and mingled with just the right flavours of either real bush honey or rosemary. Forget the tomato sauce and get ready to enjoy a sizzling flavour bomb that stays together on the barbie. Serve it how you like sausages and mash never tasted so good! We had ours with jazzed up veges soften 80g of butter and mix in a crushed garlic clove, 1 tablespoon each of chopped parsley and mint and season with ground salt and pepper. Peel 3 potatoes, 2 carrots sliced, and top and tail a handful of fresh beans or peas if preferred. Cook veg until just tender. Drain, quarter potatoes and combine veg, then gently mix the butter dressing through. Serve directly with sausages or in a serving bowl. If you try this I hope you enjoy it. The best part of this post is you can order our sausages as a separate item; you don’t have to order a lamb pack to still enjoy our lamb. The cost is $16.50 per kg with a minimum order of 3kg.
