Neither did I until I took some time to create one for myself. If that feels awkward call on a friend and together create a list. I do love lots of post it notes a great way to get your ideas out and then fine tune the ones that will work for you! Enjoy https://www.mindful.org/self-care-is-an-act-of-resistance/

19.01.2022 Beetroot beauty: they come in different shades and can be served hot and or cold sweet and or savoury. I always find such satisfaction in market shopping knowing where my produce came from, ideally the story behind the people or family that grew the produce so I can enjoy its deliciousness even more. Nourishment is such a privilege and taking time and care is part of my own practice and devotion to my participation in life, it slows me down, allows space and time to apprecia...te the individual ingredients, where they come from and how they benefit me. That privilege is not lost on me. The humble beetroot is so versatile YUM here is a simple Beetroot Hummus recipe to make - Enjoy x Beetroot Hummus Ingredients * 1 small roasted beet (Ive used red) * 1 15-oz. can cooked chickpeas (mostly drained // 1 can yields ~1 3/4 cup) * 1 large lemon (zested) * 1/2 large lemon (juiced) * 1 healthy pinch salt and black pepper * 2 large cloves garlic (minced) * 2 Tbsp Tahini (heaped ) * 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil Instructions * Slow roast the beetroot in olive oil and thyme until soft, when your beet is cooled and peeled, quarter it and * place it in your food processor, blend until only small bits remain.Add remaining ingredients except for olive oil and blend until smooth. * Drizzle in olive oil as the hummus is mixing. * Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, adding more salt, lemon juice, or olive oil if needed. If its too thick, add a bit of water. * Will keep in the fridge for up to a week. See more

19.01.2022 Breath Awareness- We are naturally collaborative with the breath. We fit together the inhale and the exhale, we belong to each other. We can use the sounds like that from the ocean as a bridge that connects us to the inside of ourselves and the outside. Your body is your first home. Breathing in, I arrive in my body. Breathing out, I am home Thich Nhat Hanh

02.01.2022 Ginger and Cinnamon Tea - staying warm on the inside. With colder mornings here I have been benefiting from an instagram post shared by Mason Taylor founder of Superfeast on one of his lively morning posts, it happened to be a day I was paying attention. He had just come in from a surf and was sipping cinnamon and ginger tea - WOW my new favourite drink that I make most days now. So simple use fresh cinnamon quills/bark and a slice of ginger and pour boiling water over the two and let its seep away. You can also make it on the stove boil the mix and strain it. A little bit of cinnamon goes a long way and the more you add the sweeter the mix gets so adjust to your liking. It tastes delicious and feels like a warm hug on the inside. https://www.foodmatters.com//5-health-benefits-cinnamon-an

02.01.2022 Brain Health - We all need some tips on maintaining our brain health - great read. Sleep mindfulness, meditation, exercise may be things you already know yet maybe its time to give each of these area a little more attention. https://teamsherzai.com/10-ways-to-enhance-your-brain/
01.01.2022 Quinoa - great for the body and now its getting cooler you can make porridge Ive added a recipe below you can use apples or pears for me I would add some maple baked pears (earlier post) to the top of the porridge to make it an even more nourishing and delicious experience. Quinoa Porridge - serves 2 INGREDIENTS 1 cup (milk) your choice of seed, dairy, soy or almond milk... 1 cup water 1/2 cup quinoa 2 apples/pears, chopped or grated with skin teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon ground linseed (flaxseed) or LSA (linseed, sunflower seed, almonds) METHOD Rinse quinoa under cold running water. Combine with the water in a pot and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat - cover and cook for 10 minutes until soft. Add milk, apple or pears, cinnamon, seeds and vanilla. Cook for 5 minutes until creamy - add more milk if needed for a creamier texture. Spoon into serving bowls and enjoy. NOTES AND INSPIRATION To cook the quinoa, add one part of the seed to two parts water in a saucepan. After the mixture is brought to a boil, reduce the heat to simmer and cover - just like you would rice. It takes about 15 minutes to cook and you will notice that the seeds have become translucent. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before enjoying. Store quinoa in an airtight container. Cooked quinoa seeds are fluffy with a delicate nutty flavour. "A cup of cooked quinoa provides about eight grams of protein and five grams of fiber; its also a good source of minerals such as manganese, phosphorus, and copper. Its a good option for getting more plant-based protein into your diet, which is widely recommended for reducing heart disease risk." Health Harvard
