25.01.2022 What if food could be far more nutritious and even help heal the planet? (this goes beyond organic) Watch for free over the next 9 days as 42 visionary experts share stunning truths about food, nutrition, and health.

25.01.2022 Can you spot our mobile chicken shed? This shed is moved regularly to ensure our chickens have continual access to fresh pasture to produce beautiful, tasty... eggs. The chickens live in sync with the natural rhythm of the day, free to enjoy sunlight and return to the shed to roost or for shelter and protection when they like. The self feeders we provide mean the chickens can supplement what they eat outside (pasture, grubs, bugs, and microorganisms) with a 100% non GMO natural grain with no medications, soy, canola, or grain by-products. They are free to express their natural chicken instincts which we believe is an essential part of raising animals ethically. We supply our eggs to select retailers and restaurants but we are working on bringing these to our customers again soon. See more

23.01.2022 Joel Salatin, 8/25/20 (Arguably the most famous farmer in the world) WE'RE NOT IN THIS TOGETHER How many times have you heard lockdown proponents, politicians, ...and bureaucrats give the pep talk "We're all in this together?" It's not true. One of my interesting little info-feeds is from Doug Casey, libertarian and International Man blogger and his latest post made this point beautifully. Although it was not the main point, it struck me as true and profound. We're not in this together. The politicians and bureaucrats are not losing their jobs, losing their savings, losing their perks. They are in a special protected class, an elite place that is above and beyond the fallout they create. I wonder how long the lock-downs and draconian measures would last if these folks suffered like the rest of us? If they were watching their perks and wealth vanish and were furloughed from the jobs or lost their businesses, how long would they continue to believe the current orthodox narrative? My speaker bureau agent, the most jovial, entrepreneurial, upbeat guy in the world, is in a total depression funk and literally trying to stay off the street. I told him if he got desperate enough to come to Polyface and we'd house and feed him until sanity returned. Fortunately, I have income spread across several enterprises so my terminated speaking revenues, while serious, are not putting me on the street. This evening we've hired Dick Cheatham, historical impersonator extraordinaire, to entertain our Polyface extended community with John Rolfe, husband of Pocahontas and first farmer of Virginia. He's been out of work for months and it wears on you. It makes you doubt if you're relevant. It makes you doubt that anybody cares about your passion or interest anymore. These government politicians and officials, on the other hand, enjoy incredible popularity and even more importance than before because with the stroke of a pen they wield immense power. Everyone fawns over them, over their every thought, as their egos get stroked by the doting press and peasants waiting for edicts from on high. Meanwhile, the rest of us, pummeled by regulation after new regulation, try to adjust and survive. We count our pennies. Indeed, how Starbucks is still in business is beyond me. We cut out every discretionary expense; we tighten our belts; we tell the children "no." We hunker down, keep our heads low, and try to figure out one day at a time how to make do. At the very beginning of this, if you'll recall, I suggested that for every two or three private sector job losses there should be a corresponding one job loss from the government. And some ratio of legislative staff and security detail for politicians. Instead, the government is taxing us to death, printing worthless money by the boatload, and hiring more bureaucrats than ever. No, dear folks, we are not in this together. We are very much in this separately and segregated. Amazon thrives while mainstreet starves. Carry out and drive-through industrial fast food restaurants pick up extra sales lost on craft food dine-in smaller establishments. Nothing has bifurcated the culture like this. I would love to be going through this with the security of a politician or government employee. Wouldn't that be great? It's time to shout it from the house tops: "WE ARE NOT IN THIS TOGETHER." How are you doing? Joel Salatin 8/25/20 J See more

23.01.2022 This is criminal! Please read as much as you can about Belinda's amazing research into the origins of our dangerous food guidelines. Dieticians Australia are setting up the population for serious nutrient deficiencies and chronic disease - and Big Pharma will have more customers!

22.01.2022 If you think the food guidelines and push for plant-based foods are based on science think again!! It's ALL about vested interests stemming from the 7th Day Adventist Church and their myriad of processed food companies!! Belinda has done amazing research to reveal the sordid story!

21.01.2022 I spent last weekend with my son visiting @ethicalfarmers the farm that I get my beef from. I know I am extreme, and I know how I live and consume food is over... the top for most people but I love it. I love knowing that I can visit the land that captured the sunlight that grew the grass that fed the cow that fertilised the soil that sequestered the carbon that harvested the water that is the solution for most of the worlds major problems We have the solution for our environmental, economical & health problems. We can use all the unwanted carbon in the atmosphere to rebuild the soil, drought-proof our land and feed everyone the most nutrient-dense food on the planet. We just need to acknowledge the obvious. Domesticated livestock can have no better life than to eat fresh mineral -nutrient rich pasture. No herbivore lives as good a life as cows on a holistically managed regenerative agricultural property. Ruminant animals convert grass into nutrient-dense meat, fat, organs, blood, bones, connective tissue and amazing leather. This is pure alchemy. Cows do this better than anything that man has invented and they do it biologically without the need for fossil fuel inputs. Right now we are killing ourselves growing plants with chemicals then converting those plants into food products. Most people are eating fossil fuels regardless of whether they eat plants or meat. Humans can not eat grass, but cows can. Grasslands can capture the sunlight better than any solar panel musk can come up with. Ruminant fat is the battery that musk will never outperform. Ruminant fat is not only fuel but nutrition. I can't thank all the regenerative farmers of the world enough for your efforts. All of you are doing it tough for everyone. Most people have been fooled by crop science, food processing and pharmaceutical companies to believe that consuming their products will save humanity. If you want to be part of the solution, find a regenerative farmer to support. Nourish your body with real food, get healthy, support the farmer so they can live a good life to inspire more people to become farmers and save humanity. #regenerativeagriculture #carnivorediet

21.01.2022 There is a new rather disturbing and yet somehow funny as hell trend happening in the vegan movement among its ‘influencers’ They have decided to come after all... that we stand for by way of specifically attacking Regenerative Agriculture all the while boldly and blatantly supporting Industrial Monoculture. The good news is, they are attacking Regen Ag because it makes good on all the promises about human health, animal welfare and environmental healing and integrity that veganism makes but fails miserably at delivering on. We Ethical Omnivores by way of Regenerative Agriculture are the biggest threat to their flawed ideology. As our blog Series The Curious Case of the Vegan War on Regenerative Animal Agriculture continues our Karin Lindquist of the The Bovine Practicum takes on Earthling Ed who tries and astoundingly fails to take on Allan Savory of Savory Institute and the Holistic Management method that is hugely successful with thousands of Graziers all over the globe. Please share to stop this new madness and support all that we believe in and those people we believe in... the Heroes of the Regenerative Agriculture and Food System movement. https://www.ethicalomnivore.org/curious-case-of-the-vegan-/

20.01.2022 Excellent article on eating disorders and quality of foods as opposed to just calories

17.01.2022 A paradigm shift is coming. After four decades of carb-heavy and flawed dietary advice that is making us sick, the medical, dental and nutrition world must embr...ace the clear evidence that natural saturated dietary fat is essential to our health. Thank you @mark__whittaker and @the.australian for helping me to raise awareness about this critical issue. https://www.theaustralian.com.au//4d7418770f1b417d2d485b8a See more

17.01.2022 The small pulses of rain in the north wash down thru the Darling Barka river system is the pulse and life of the river . The small flows are critically importan...t for the survival of the rivers, fish and ecology. Sadly the rains up north which normally flow down the system are being pumped dry by the big 4 ( cotton, China, corporates and corruption ) . The destruction of the river system ,communities and your food security are being killed off every day by the greed of those who have no humanity for any other Australian , just greed and short term profit . With their national party puppets undermining the environment and rivers future every day in every way they can . Please keep up the fight as more Aussies every day are learning about the greed and corruption killing their rivers and their future and food security . See more

15.01.2022 Yes - a difficult message to get across!!!

13.01.2022 Everyone should know what is happening out there

11.01.2022 I am starting to collect images of fence lines to help reinforce the concept that management matters. Even small differences in the management (species of graz...ing or browsing animals, density of grazing, period of rest and animal impact) results in a very different community of plants and underlying soil building processes. In this situation both sides are very lightly grazed but on the left its mostly sheep and deer and the right deer and many small herbivores such as voles etc in higher numbers. The results are very different and the ecosystem processes on both sides are reasonably good. Some of you would prefer to see the habitat on the right others the habitat on the left; thats why we constantly talk about context. If you havent clearly defined what habitat youre trying to create, and how that fits into your vision for your life on the farm or management area, (your context) then you cant make good management decisions about how to achieve it. In our Wilderculture training we help you define your context and teach the effect each of the tools and different herbivores have on different habitats depending on how they are applied. From there you can work out which tools you have available, including the exact application of grazers, browsers, rest and impact you need to apply to create the landscape you want. #wilderculture #holisticmanagement #ecology #ecologicalrestoration #rewilding #farmingwithnature #uplands

02.01.2022 "Don't blame the eggs for what the cake did!" Recent #fakenews headlines claiming;- "Eating eggs can dramatically increase your risk for developing diabetes" do...n't just misrepresent the data analysed in the study, but I would go so far as to question academic fraud presented as 'Research' from the University of South Australia. It's simply #fakenews... I sent the research paper to Zoe Harcombe PhD last week knowing full well if there were issues she would find them Her summary back to me:- * Examination of the characteristics of people in the different quartiles proved very revealing. It transpired that, when men and women were reviewed separately, there were no significant differences for men for egg intake and incidence of diabetes. Not only can non-Chinese people ignore this study, but Chinese men can also ignore it. * There was a processed food issue as well as a female issue. The paper captured both beautifully with the sentence Women prefer cakes, soft drinks, and snacks, most of which are ultra-processed food, increasing the risk of diabetes. * That should have been the conclusion of the paper processed food, especially cakes, soft drinks, and snacks, are associated with a higher incidence of diabetes in Chinese women. Full stop. Don't blame the eggs for what the cake did! Interestingly... Fruit intake of the highest egg group was almost 3x times higher than that of the lowest egg group. Fruit intake wasn’t adjusted for, so the headline could have been Higher fruit consumption associated with increased risk of diabetes in Chinese adults. But that would have been an awkward conclusion ;-) https://www.zoeharcombe.com//eggs-diabetes-and-chinese-ad/ Please support Zoe's incredible work and sign up for her 'weekly note'. #choosehealth #eateggsovercake #academicfraud??
