25.01.2022 The average person spends about 26 years sleeping in their life, which equates to 9,460 days, or 227,760 hours. Ever thought about not only the bed sheets you sleep on, but what you sleep in? Considering we sweat and detox while we sleep (yes, true), and that our skin is in contact with those sheets and sleepwear, you’d want to consider the make up of said sheets, and sleepwear.... Couldn’t be happier that my only go to for organic bed sheets Bhumi Organic Cotton now have a new range of sleepwear! Featuring linen (my fave as I’m wearing here - linen long slip and linen robe), sateen (we have the sateen bed sheets at home and it’s so seriously soft and dreamy) as well as flannel, there’s slips, robes, night shirts, short pj sets and long pj sets. Visit bhumi.com.au to check them all out! Bhumi is always 20% off all year round with the #nmmembership too

25.01.2022 A well tended to body rewards you! Feeling free, relaxed, and supple tops achey, sore, and stiff any day. Lately I’ve been using @the_a_life’s magnesium oil everyday. I’ve had some wacky sleep and this definitely helps, along with sore muscles after my at home Zoom workouts. I also use a trigger point ball like this one, and as for essential oils - they are EVERYWHERE at our house! Support local and support your body with @the_a_life’s magnesium oil or treat yourself to this muscle ease pack free shipping too!

24.01.2022 During the past few months I’ve been even more attuned to my energy, and the energy in and around my home. With all that’s going on, it’s imperative you have a practice of your own to ensure you don’t allow negative energetic frequencies into your personal, home, and work space. I recently got my hands on this Victorian white grandfather sage from Lydia @wildmebefree and it is like no other sage I’ve used before. In your minds eye create a bubble around your house, going deep... within the ground and in the air above your house. Smudge your house and keep your bubble smudged daily - it helps to keep your bubble cleansed of negative energy you might create from dealing with all that’s going on. It’s easy - simply light your sage, let it burn for 30 seconds or so and then slowly blow out the flame to leave it smoking. Walk around your home or workspace with this intention, as well as creating that bubble around yourself. Hope you’re all taking care and staying safe x

24.01.2022 What I’m doing now to support my health and wellbeing - physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally. Maintaining the constants - meditation, nutrition, movement, sleep, nature. How are you addressing each of these, every day? It’s a non-negotiable to give my attention to each of these, every single day. Some days some receive more attention, other days, less. In any case, they are all met with the intention of keeping my overall wellbeing in balance, so I can create and le...ad with clarity and stable self-awareness. 80/20 rule. 80% of my time and attention is on anything that encourages evolution, awareness, and leading from my heart. The remaining 20% is making sure that I am also aware of what is going on with current events. That comes with a condition though, and that is to know when my involvement in our current events starts to even slightly affect my sanctuary, my space, even the slightest little bit, that I immediately back out. I feel every individual has a responsibility to stay informed, and not turn a blind eye completely to the events of today, but at the same time be aware of when the constant news cycle starts to invade your energetic space. Laughing! When was the last time you had a good laugh? It’s proven that frequent laughter reduces the physical symptoms of stress. Crack a joke, watch a funny movie. Whatever it takes. Practicing ritual. In every single day, I include ritual. From the way I light incense, to making a pot of tea. Be present with the activity and your fulfilment will be 10 fold. Fulfilment is our purpose! Talking and sharing. Talk with those you live with. Talk with friends on the phone. Share your thoughts. ‘A problem shared is a problem halved’. Keep your emotions moving. Remember, emotions are E-nergy in MOTION! Hope you’re all taking care and staying safe. Natasha x Wearing my new fave @cereslife ‘Golden Hour’ T

17.01.2022 We inherit so much from our ancestors and some aspects serve us more than others The science of Epigenetics demonstrates that ancestral trauma can be passed... down to future generations on a deep cellular level. So it’s true to say, some of the limitations we carry around with us today, aren’t actually born from our own life experiences but from the challenges of our forebears. One of the most powerful aspects of holistic Hypnotherapy is the opening of a space for you to offer inter generational healing to the ancestors that came before you and to future generations. No matter when they walked this earth, whether it was 200 years ago or 20 years ago, we are all still connected and the potential for deep and profound healing is always there One of the wonders of Holistic Hypnotherapy is that it facilitates this sacred space for you to not only heal yourself but those who came before and those who may come after. If you’d like to read more about epigentics, I highly recommend you check out The Biology of Belief by Bruce H. Lipton See more

16.01.2022 How to be your own healer - The practice of LETTING GO from Kirsty at Essentialist Hypnotherapy. The practice of ‘letting go’ and ‘surrendering’ helps to create a greater sense of personal wellbeing and peace. In isolation, Letting Go is a ridiculously simple yet profoundly powerful self-care tool. ... Combined with other practices such as meditation and yoga, mindful living and sound holistic approach to diet and exercise, it has the potential to completely transform the way you experience life. Letting Go simply involves being aware of a feeling, letting it come up, staying with it, and letting it run its course without wanting to make it different, think about it or do anything about it. In so doing, you ‘let go’ of the energy behind the feeling and immediately feel lighter and released. Letting Go is such a simple technique to learn, the key is to make it a habit and for it to become a natural process in your day to day life. Just surrendering to what is. 09.01.2022 Mama’s of nm - Jacqui Evans, Founder of @jevansskincare What’s your most cherished memory with your Mum? My Mum is one of a kind. She is unwavering in her support of me, my choices and my family. She has become my greatest confidant as I get older too. So many incredible memories with my gorgeous Mum, but my heart bursted with love recently when she spent the afternoon baking her famous short bread with my daughters. So special watching them connect togetherover a childho...od memory of my own, and making mess and chatting in the kitchen. What didn’t anybody tell you about becoming a Mum, that you wish you’d known beforehand? You've never ever done this before, so go easy on yourself because you're doing your best. Motherhood forces you to look inward at yourself. There are times it can bring up your own insecurities, and it's hard not to put those feelings onto them. I've realised my girls are my biggest teachers. I thought my role as a mother was to teach them, and whilst of course it is, I've learned that it is them in fact who are teaching me. What’s your favourite way to connect with your children? My girls are aged 12 and 9. I'm realising that old saying of 'small children, small problems, big children big problems' is kinda true. I tryhard to find time to connect with them on their own, without their sibling, and most often I'm finding the best connection are the simple moments, like in the car on the drive to school, or a walk around the block when it's just me and them. These small insignificant moments I cherish. Plus they are hooked onwatching FRIENDS on Netflix and we just love snuggling up and watching that together! Describe motherhood in 25 words or less... A constant roller-coaster of guilt, worry and second guessing yourself, speckled with absolute unconditional love and hugs like no other.

09.01.2022 Restoration of your five senses. Lydia @wildmebefree shares how we can effortlessly restore the connection with ourselves. I often say to people who no longer feel within themselves, who find it extremely hard to ground themselves, and are constantly in their minds to do the following.... Go outside either in your garden or walk the block and feel, smell and look at things in their street. So for example I may suggest, go outside and really look at some flowers in the street. What do they look like? Are they nice to look at? What patterns do they have that you like? Smell the flower. Does it smell nice? What’s your favourite smelling flower in the street? Touch the flower. What does it feel like? Is it crumbly? Is it soft? Is it spikey? Connecting back to nature helps us connect back into ourselves. We are natural beings, who need nature to survive. So why not connect with it in order for it to support us to ground back into our bodies? Some people call it Earthing, and it’s a practice of grounding to help you find connection either in your body or through observation. In any form of grounding, you observe the mind and become aware of the subtle shifts of your emotional and energetic bodies. Our bodies are highly intelligent creations and when we get out of their way and allow nature to do the work for us, profound healing can take place. Just as a tree grows without our involvement or thinking about it, so can our bodies recover, build resiliency, and find their innate way when we intentionally provide them with the loving, compassionate space to do so. So tell me below, how do you incorporate this practice into your week? (You may think you don’t do this, however someway you will find you do this, either by walking and just gazing at nature or touching and smelling plants, trees.) #grounding #earthing #selfcare #wellbeing #nourishmelbourne #yourwellbeingguide Image: @brrch_floral

05.01.2022 Mama’s of nm - Sarah Nankervis, Founder of @luxtonwellness What’s your most cherished memory with your Mum? One of my happiest memories of my childhood was on hot days mum would pick us up from primary school with an esky packed with boiled eggs and salad and we would have dinner at our magic beach" only leaving when the sandflies arrived and the sun set. We also spent many hours helping mum in her veggie patch which was and still is her happy place. What didn’t anybo...dy tell you about becoming a Mum, that you wish you’d known beforehand? That I would never sleep through the night again ;) What’s your favourite way to connect with your children? Our favourite way to connect with our kids is through cooking. I love to cook and having them in the kitchen with me always, mixing, licking beaters and making a mess with happy faces. This fills my cup completely! Describe motherhood in 25 words or less... Rewarding, tiring, fun, exhausting, fulfilling and so so challenging but all in all the greatest gift I have ever been given. Photos: Sarah and her husband Michael with Ted (3) and Millie (2) Sarah (aged 3) with her family at the beach. It's a recent memory, and it is seeing and experiencing my mother go through a transition to a wholesome lifestyle. Specifically supporting her through the changing moment at a Dr Libby conference. What didn’t anybody tell you about becoming a Mum, that you wish you’d known beforehand? That planning is good, but nothing goes to plan.... What’s your favourite way to connect with your children? Breath-work together at night time. Describe motherhood in 25 words or less... A deep and constant evaluation of who you are, and how that is reflected in your children. Photo: @bobbyclark____ Stay tuned for more Mama’s of nm features to come in the lead up to Mother’s Day.

02.01.2022 Ladies - know your bodies! Thank you Angea Acupuncture & Yoga for this wisdom on women’s bodies The Neck and the Cervix are intimately linked! ... The link between both firstly starts with language. Cervix in latin translates to neck. While your vocal cords reside in your neck, your vagina has a neck in the form of the cervix. Technically, connecting the uterus to vaginal canal (womb). Secondly, the throat and vagina are similar in structure, anatomy and tissues with each supported in function by diaphragmatic muscles that move in tandem with breath. The cervix is the gateway and portal to the womb, the connection from the external world to the internal world, standing as a doorway of creation, rebirth and death through cycles and the inner seasons. The cervix moves in tides with the menstrual cycle and fluctuations of hormones. The cervix has the ability to change size and shape in response to these hormones. It produces cervical mucus for ovulation and then instinctly closes as incubator for possible fertilization of an egg. The cervix lengthens during pregnancy and efficacies during birth. The throat and throat chakra is the area of communication and expression. It is the ability to express freely and speak your personal truth. It connects you from the external world to the internal world through breath, drawing in what it needs, followed by releasing and letting go. How you express your emotions is how you express your ability to connect with yourself and your life. For women, the throat and cervix are connected via the vagus nerve which runs from the cervix through the heart and throat as an energetic portal. Swiss researchers demonstrated the Vagus nerve is linked to hearing, eye contact, emotional expressions, and has an influence on the bonding hormone Oxytocin. There is evidence that a higher Vagal tone is associated with more closeness with others & social bonding. It also enhances orgasms in women by connecting to the cervix, uterus and vagina. When we learn how to open the divine feminine portals of pleasure and expression, the throat, jaw, cervix and vagina through initiation of the vagus nerve, we can move into a space of receptivity and allowing. Expression of voice and primal sounds relax and soften the cervix/pelvic floor. P.S. I’m reading ‘Vagina’ by Naomi Wolf and my knowledge on our vagina’s is expanding rapidly yet again! To understand that even our vagina’s have a consciousness is mind blowing. Highly recommend picking up to read

02.01.2022 Do you use your menstrual cycle to harness specific energies and strengths? Love this diagram via @angea_acupuncture_yoga. I think we need to have a workshop all about this!

01.01.2022 5 ways to move towards peace: 1. Let go of trying to change and control others. 2. Let go of wanting to ‘get even’. 3. Let go of wanting to be ‘right’ and to make others ‘wrong’.... 4. Practice discernment rather than judgmentalism. 5. HAVE FUN! That’s when you really know you’ve let go See more

01.01.2022 Not only practical, but looks good too! Really digging @the_a_life’s stretch poster, featuring upper body and lower body stretches. Perfect to pop up in your home office, or in the office. Even though we’re moving about a little more here in Melbourne, if you spend a lot of time in front of the screen at any time, this is a handy non-screen way to be reminded that your body needs lots of love
