25.01.2022 Chocolate orange protein balls made with cannellini beans (white beans). Options are endless when it comes to flavouring these tasty snack balls. Today I had oranges in the fridge so I added some juice. Recipes coming soon to my website ... Some protein balls you find in the shops can be packed with lots of sugar as their main ingredient is usually dates. Dates like anything else are great in small quantities and have many nutritional benefits. But some protein balls can pretty much be a ball full of sugar. Fact: 1 small date can contain 7.7g fructose
24.01.2022 Gloomy day had me craving comfort food for dinner. I decided on a delicious, nutritional green Thai curry Oven roasted pork scotch fillets, stir-fried vegetables in a green Thai curry sauce I prefer to slow cook or roast the meat in the oven so it stays tender and juicy. If cooking during the week when working, I will do this the night before or in the morning. To add more punch I also marinate the meat in curry paste. ... I love recipes that allow to to prepare in advance. It can save so much time. To keep the vegetables vibrant colours, nutrients and to keep their crunch I stir-fry these and put them aside and add back in right at the end. This recipe is also great with any sort of left over meats Trying any of the recipe suggestion on my page, tag me to show me your creations

17.01.2022 High cholesterol is a very common health concern. Here is some information regarding cholesterol and some tips to help maintain your levels. Cholesterol is a type of fat found in certain foods (meat, dairy, eggs) and is also made in your body by the liver. Cholesterol is actually necessary for humans to live as our bodies make hormones and other important biological molecules from cholesterol. However too much of the wrong cholesterol can effect your health. Good cholestero...l: HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) - transfers from cells to the liver and is processed and removed from the body Bad cholesterol: LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) travels from the liver out through arteries to peripheries Foods to lower cholesterol 1. FIBRE There are 2 types of fibre (soluble & insoluble). The difference between them is self explanatory; soluble can be digested by your body, insoluble cannot. Most fibre rich foods will contain both and can assist in reducing cholesterol levels Food Sources -oats -legumes -fruit -vegetable 2. UNSATURATED FAT Fats are an essential part of our diet, some fats being healthier then others. Unsaturated fats are the good fats, but portion control is extremely important. Eaten in large amounts, all fats can contribute to health problems. Clinical trials have shown unsaturated fats are successful to help reduce the risk of heart disease if consumed in moderation. Food Sources -fish -avocado -nuts -seeds -olive oil WHAT INCREASES BAD CHOLESTEROL? Saturated fats are the ones that can cause your cholesterol to raise. These fats are found in large amounts in foods such as:- -fatty cuts of meat -baked goods (cakes etc) -packages foods (chips etc) -hard cheeses -cream -deep fried food -pastries If you would like assistance to help create a meal plan to maintain your cholesterol levels contact me for an appointment 0400714516 Email: [email protected]

15.01.2022 Do you experience bloating, stomach pain, excessive flatulance, constipation and/or diarrhoea? These are all signs of an unhappy gut that isn’t working optimally. Ongoing gut irritation has been linked to the development of many health conditions, such as asthma, allergies, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and autoimmune diseases (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis, coeliac disease and multiple sclerosis). Good health starts in the gut so make sure you prioritise this vital part of yourself. Diet modification with the addition of specific herbs and certain nutrients along with lifestyle changes, can help to heal your gut irritation and provide relief from uncomfortable digestive symptoms.

Unfortunately it isn't that simple and having apple cider vinegar on a regular basis can cause digestive upset - especially if you are already experiencing reflux. ... Before you purchase those vitamins or supps have a chat to me to see whether you are taking the right one for your symptoms.
