25.01.2022 With working from home, we are likely snacking and sipping more! Beware of dietary acids and the frequency of consumption. Your best sipping option is water and try to limit acidic/sugary drinks to mealtimes only. Beware of lemon water! Highly acidic and commonly consumed on an empty stomach. Not good for dental and stomach health

25.01.2022 BlueM mouthspray harnesses the power of oxygen to promote improved gum and mucosal health. Accelerated healing after extractions and periodontal therapy by controlling pathogenic bacteria with the power of oxygenation. New and highly effective. Ask our Hygiene team to show you the difference

24.01.2022 Dr Harry could apply for sessions in Sovereign Hill! I’m sure they would have valued his great extraction skills. Nouveau Dental will close for the year on December 18th. We will be back on January 11th 2021

24.01.2022 Check your filters! Most washable cloth mask filters have PM2.5 ratings, this means they can only filter out particles 2.5micron or bigger in size. Virus particles are much smaller, around 0.1-0.3 micron, so how could a mask with hopeless filtration protect you from a virus?

24.01.2022 Dr Chantelle is away till Monday. She is training to introduce a very exciting new service at Nouveau Dental. Hint: we want you to put your best face forward every single day. What are your thoughts on facial rejuvenation?

24.01.2022 WEAR A DISPOSABLE FACE MASK! Not all masks are the same, use an adequate mask if you are making the effort to do it before it becomes compulsory. Lets try to avoid Stage 4. If you need to buy some message us by Facebook messenger or email [email protected]

23.01.2022 With the same extra stresses 2020 has brought, its particularly important to wear your occlusal splint at night. Headaches, facial pain and teeth damage are best minimised! If you have experienced TMD symptoms, ask us about what treatments are available. Muscle relaxing injections have made a big difference to many of our patients who already use splints and stretching to manage symptoms

22.01.2022 Weve been beating this drum for months now. Perhaps if more people has done it, we would have had fewer cases. Buy direct www.nelkleen.com or you can DM me. Boxes of 50 or smaller packs of 10 available

22.01.2022 You cannot separate a smile from a whole face, ask us what we can do deliver a more complete package of dento-facial aesthetics to keep you smiling in style

22.01.2022 Especially at this time, many people are feeling depressed, lonely or anxious. A tiny act of kindness can make a big difference to another person’s bad day. With today being World Smile Day, let’s try to make at least one person smile today. (Even with your mask on, people can still tell you’re smiling!)

22.01.2022 Shed you old skin! Use your extra time off to develop some good skin care habits. Exfoliation removes the top layer of dead skin cells to reveal smoother, and less dull skin underneath. Not too often and not too harsh on the face! Once a month is better than not at all!!

22.01.2022 So true! As the temperature rises so does our risk of skin cancer. Remember to use SPF 50 sunblock. Love the skin youre in. Ask us about what we can offer to improve the quality of your skin at your next consultation

21.01.2022 Lest We Forget. This ANZAC Day especially calls to mind how certain groups in society paid the ultimate price for protecting the lives and rights of the masses. From our soldiers to our healthcare workers, we are all involved in doing our part for the effort to fight the enemy threats to us, be it a nation or COVID19. Pray for the human and animal lives lost in the preservation of others

21.01.2022 The most exciting procedure are outside the mouth! Next week we resume our facial injectables services. Booked solid for four days! Muscle relaxing injections have many benefits, and can make a significant difference to your facial skin and muscles. Ask us at your next appointment.

17.01.2022 Please practice social distancing, it doesnt matter if the people you are with are your close friends or seem fine. To people who still believe this is just a flu it isnt all about YOU and your individual risk. Think of those who you could expose who will not necessarily recover

16.01.2022 We will be closed from Wednesday 9th-Tuesday 15th January. We will re-open on Wednesday 16th January but reception will be attended from Tuesday 15th. Thank you

14.01.2022 With the same extra stresses 2020 has brought, it’s particularly important to wear your occlusal splint at night. Headaches, facial pain and teeth damage are best minimised! If you have experienced TMD symptoms, ask us about what treatments are available. Muscle relaxing injections have made a big difference to many of our patients who already use splints and stretching to manage symptoms

14.01.2022 Prevention is always better than cure. Simply brushing your teeth twice a day isn’t always enough to reduce your risk of developing or worsening tooth decay. Sometimes teeth require fillings that are due to structure loss not related to tooth decay. Everyone’s risk profile is different, that is why it’s important we tailor our advice to suit you and your lifestyle. Let’s have a chat about what your risk profile is and offer some advice on keeping you and your family in optimum dental health at your next routine examination

14.01.2022 2020 has been a year we can’t wait to farewell. Nouveau Dental is making an effort to say Merci beaucoup to our wonderful skin care patients for their support and trust. Dr Chantelle Sewgoolam is spending a few days this week treating these patients to skin rejuvenation treatments and giving them a luxury skincare gift to complement their services on the house. Let us provide you with a truly ethereal dental experience.

12.01.2022 A seriously great (and inexpensive) product! Niacinamide confers many benefits to skin from reducing fine lines, reducing redness and inflammation, minimising pores and breakouts and helps to reduce/prevent hyperpigmentation spots. 50ml serum is $30, our products are compounded by a chemist and are proudly Australian made. Give it a try today

11.01.2022 Greatly touched by our patients’ generosity. Thank you for your support and patience, we thank you for your kind gifts and wishes. Stay safe and see you in 2021

10.01.2022 Get your skin summer ready! As restrictions begin to ease and the weather warms up, put your extra time to good use. Sunscreen every day (even in Winter!), exfoliation regularly (not daily) and niacinamide serum is a game changer. Ask me about improving your skin quality at your next consultation. Remember your face is your best asset and you take it with you every day and everywhere you go! Give it priority!

10.01.2022 Hello everyone! Hope you are all staying well and wearing your masks. Hope these humorous mask wearing tips give you a laugh, but also help make you more comfortable wearing face masks. If you need some (level 2 surgical used in primary healthcare settings) direct message me

10.01.2022 Look after your skin! You will wear it every single day for the rest of your life! Ask us about our peptide based serum that helps fight wrinkles and prolong the effects of injectables

10.01.2022 Did you know that the borders of your lips deteriorate over time and the volume thins out? Ask us about maintaining the integrity of your lips and improving the quality of skin around your lips. Our dentist can provide Hyaluronic Acid injections to keep you smiling at your best.

09.01.2022 We are closed until mid July due to the high numbers of COVID cases in the local area as a precaution to keep our patients and team safe. For emergency appointments call Plenty Smiles

07.01.2022 As the situation of Covid situation worsens in our area, we will continue our shutdown. We had hoped to return this week, but it looks like it will be nearer the month end at this stage. Thank you Plenty Smiles for assisting any of our patients who require urgent attention

07.01.2022 Staying cool can be tough these days and we tend to reach out for whatever drinks are available. Consider this before upsizing thats drink at the drive through...

07.01.2022 We are beginning a slow return to standard practice. There are some additional measures in place to ensure maximum safety in light of COVID19. Please read the changes below

07.01.2022 Did you know that your lips borders deteriorate and the volume thins out over time? Restore the quality and volume to your lip tissue with Hyaluronic Acid gel. Ask us about assessing the skin and tissues around your mouth at your next consultation. Spoiler alert: no trout pouts allowed!

05.01.2022 A very common question, both have the potential to stain teeth, but black tea is more likely to cause heavy staining. It can take several appointments of professional scaling to remove it fully in severe cases. Which cup is harder to wash clean, the used coffee cup or used tea cup?

05.01.2022 Hard working hands need extra attention. With the recent increase in alcohol based hand sanitizers and regular hand washing, the skin on our hands is really suffering. Intact skin is an important barrier for our body’s immune defence. If you notice your skin is extra dry, cuts easily or is feeling rough, try applying a few drops of Hyaluronic Acid serum on your hands first and then use a moisturiser. Hyaluronic acid holds several times it’s weight in water molecules so it really makes your moisturising efforts count

05.01.2022 Time is ticking. We hope you are all in good dental health. Changes to restrictions affecting dentistry should change following the State of Disaster in Victoria. We will keep you updated

05.01.2022 In light of all the Coronavirus headlines, dont forget that simple measures go a long way to protecting you. Thorough and regular hand washing is very important. How well do you wash your hands? Wash like a primary health care worker...

04.01.2022 Thank you to our patients who attended our information night and evening drinks. We hope you learnt a lot about the role facial injectables have in facial skin rejuvenation. We are pleased to be able to offer a more comprehensive service including dermal fillers and muscle relaxant injections, in a safe and high quality establishment.

03.01.2022 In ozone we trust! In addition to the exhaust systems we have always had in our operatories, we have added Ozone Air Sterilisation to the list of measures to protect our patients and staff from air borne pathogens. If you see a sign up on a closed door, please be patient and wait before entering the room. We are making every effort to keep everyone in optimum health

02.01.2022 With the further measures in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19, dentistry is reduced to emergency management only, which is limited. Nouveau Dental will be closer until early September in line with this restriction. If you have a dental emergency please contact Plenty Smiles on 9466 8103 . If you require an appointment for routine or elective dentistry leave a message on our answering service and we will organise an appointment as soon as we are able. Stay safe and get in contact if you require assistance or face masks.

01.01.2022 For those of you have spoken to us since March will know that we recommended the use of face masks from before the government!
