25.01.2022 Jackie is now available for Cupping treatments at the clinic. What is Cupping? It involves the use of cups generally made of glass or plastic (air cupping using a hand pump). The cup forms suction over the skin, and the skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn upwards into the cup. The cups are applied to the energy pathways and either left in place or moved along the skin with the help of oil (gliding cupping). Why is Cupping good? The main aim of cupping is to remove any... blockages and help to balance the energy, and help it flow smoothly. Cupping can reach muscles up to 10cm below the surface of the skin, assisting to help remove toxins, improve blood flow, loosen muscles and calm the nervous system. Cupping is combined with massage. 24.01.2022 With the kids back at school here are some tips for carrying of heavy backpacks : -Backpacks should be ideally no heavier than 10% of a student's weight when packed. -Make sure the backpack is sturdy and appropriately sized - no wider than the student's chest -Put comfort and fit at the top of the priority list, rather than good looks... -Choose a backpack with broad, padded shoulder straps -Use both shoulder straps - never sling the pack over one shoulder -Use waist straps attached - they are there for a good reason -Don't wear the backpack any lower than the hollow of the lower back -Don't overload the backpack - use school lockers and plan homework well in advance -Place all heavy items at the base of the pack, close to the spine, for a better distribution of the weight See more

02.01.2022 How do you sleep?? Try to avoid lying on your stomach as the rotational position of your head puts increased stress on your neck due to muscle imbalances. For example, you wouldn't walk around during the day permanently looking over one shoulder for 8 hours!! Always lie on your side and back using a supportive pillow. Sleep well :)
