25.01.2022 If you are thinking about deferring your Loan/Mortgage during this time; please include the following questions when you approach your Broker/Bank: 1. Will you defer the entire payment amount or just the principal i.e. I still pay the interest component? 2. If you defer the payment; does this mean I will be paying more later on to make up for it? Eg after 3 months, will I be forced to pay double principal to cover it? ... 3. Does this affect my credit rating? Is this classed as ‘missed payments?’ for my credit score? Just a little something to consider before agreeing to anything. Always check the fine print! NovaBP
