If you need to get tested: Please be patient with staff who are working hard to organise logistics and collect samples. Be prepared for your visit by bringing water and snacks. 16.01.2022 Travel from New Zealand is now permitted, here’s everything you need to know for entry into South Australia! New Zealand is now considered part of the low co...mmunity transmission zone. People can now enter SA from NZ and not have to self-quarantine for 14 days or undertake COIVD-19 testing. Travellers may enter SA via air or road as long as they have been in this low community transmission zone for the previous 14 days and have not entered VIC or another overseas jurisdiction. They must have also entered Australia on a quarantine-free flight. Travellers from NZ will need a valid visa to enter Australia but New Zealand citizens do not need to apply for a visa before coming to Australia. People travelling from NZ must print and complete a COVID-19 Declaration form and present it at airline check-in at the airport before travelling to Australia. Find the form here: https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au//covid-19-declaration-form. People who are currently in self-quarantine after arriving from NZ have been released and are not required to complete their remaining quarantine days. All people travelling to SA must complete the Cross Border Travel Registration form here: https://forms.police.sa.gov.au//Ru/Form/CrossBorderTravel/ For more information please visit https://covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/new-zealand-safe-travel- or https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/

We are working hard to extend operating hours of clinics and put on more staff. If you need to get tested: Please be patient with staff who are working hard to organise logistics and collect samples. 11.01.2022 SA Health is urging families to keep children home from childcare if they are unwell, following gastro outbreaks across the state. SA Health: "Families with chi...ldren who attend childcare are urged to keep their children at home if they are unwell and practice good hand-hygiene after an increase in reports of viral gastroenteritis in childcare settings across the state. The Department for Health and Wellbeing’s Communicable Disease Control Branch (CDCB) Acting Director, Dr Doug Shaw, said there were at least 17 outbreaks of gastroenteritis in childcare settings in December 2020, compared to just four the previous month. A similar increase has been seen in other States and Territories and as gastroenteritis is not a notifiable disease in South Australia, it is likely that the number of outbreaks in the community is much higher, Dr Shaw said. While most of these outbreaks have not been clinically tested, the reports of short-lived vomiting and diarrhoea among children in the cases we’ve been made aware of are consistent with norovirus infection, one of the more common causes of gastroenteritis, commonly known as gastro. This increase of gastro in the community, particularly in childcare centres, is an important reminder to practice good hand-hygiene and stay home if you are unwell. Children especially should not return to childcare until they are feeling better and they have not had any diarrhoea or vomiting for at least 48 hours. Symptoms of viral gastro can take two to three days to develop and include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, abdominal pain, headache and muscle ache. Symptoms usually last between one to two days." Report in 7NEWS at 6pm. www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS
08.01.2022 Today we’re announcing three key changes that relate to our border arrangements in South Australia. For some time now, we’ve been considering joining NSW and t...he NT in not requiring New Zealanders to quarantine on arrival. From today, South Australia will join the New Zealand travel bubble. While NZ travellers are required to complete the Cross Border registration form they will not be required to quarantine, provided they have been in a low community transmission zone for the past 14 days and have not entered another country. This is going to be great in stimulating our economy, boosting tourism and creating jobs. There are also two changes that relate specifically to our border with Victoria. From Saturday 24 October, South Australian and Victorian cross border communities can now travel within 70km of the border without needing a reason to do so. These changes are important steps for families and businesses who have been doing it tough in these areas. From Saturday 24 October, relocating from Victoria to South Australia permanently will now be a valid reason to enter South Australia, although people will be required to complete the Cross Border registration form and must quarantine for 14 days on arrival. Upon approval you will be advised if you are required to quarantine in a medi-hotel. More information and the updated direction, including the criteria and documentation needed will be available in the coming days. We appreciate your continued patience as we work with our experts on easing restrictions in the safest way possible. We will continue to act swiftly on health advice to keep South Australia safe and strong.
