13.01.2022 Fringeworld 2017 has finished for another year but before it left a few awards were dished out. A big congratulations to Sean Guastavino who was the WA Emerging Artist Award as well as his show Bus Boy winning the Martin Sims and the Theatre Award! Georgia Kings show The One was awarded The Melbourne Tour Ready Award and the WA winner for The West Australian Arts Editor Award. It was also a finalist in the Martin Sims Award.... Amanda Watson and Hannah Evelyns show Risscht! The Little Match Girl was a finalist in the Theatre Award. And a big congratulation to those in nominated shows! Sam Ireland in Little Red: Whos Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf was nominated for the Childrens Event Award, Ann-Marie Biagioni in Badger & Kit Write The Best Love Song Ever and Zac Bennet-McPhee in An Inordinate Number of Steves were both nominated for the Theatre Award! Finally another congratulations to the large number of other talent who performed in a huge number of shows from this year, cant wait to see the work you all produce for Fringeworld 2018!

Siobhan Vincent was awarded an Adjudicators Certificate or a touching, well acted and beautifully crafted scene which she directed in The Glass Menagerie with Garrick Theatre Charlie Young was also awarded an Adjudicators Certificate for characterization and puppetry skills for his role in Jungle Book with Playlovers A great night of celebrating theatre and cant wait for the next year!
