19.01.2022 Barbara Edwards is now retiring from organizing the morning tea each Saturday. Barbara has been attending to the morning teas for many years and she will be hard to replace. We thank Barbara for her assistance to the club. She will be greatly missed. Presented with this lovely arrangement of flowers by club official Daniel.

18.01.2022 This morning saw the 50m smallbore benchrest shooters. Only a slight breeze to contend with which reflected on some great scores. Cliff A and Michael B both with scores of 399/400 (Always one pesky shot that gets away) with Cliff winning the day with one extra centre. Hot on their tails were a few other shooters with very competitive scores of 398/400.

16.01.2022 LIFE MEMBERS Both Wally Styke and Charlie Morabito have been made Life Members of Nowra Rifle Club Inc. Wally joined the club in 1986 and Charlie in 1988. They have both significantly contributed to the success of the club over the years. Wal was Club President in the early 90’s and was instrumental in establishing the Pistol Code within the Club, applying for a successful grant to build the main Club House. The Shoalhaven Council was planning to put a new road down through t...he range, Wal was able to avert this. The location of the Smallbore and Pistol ranges are also Wal’s concept. Charlie was the Club’s first Pistol Code Captain . He ran Pistol activities for many years and grew pistol into a very active and healthy section of the Rifle Club. Charlie also ran Shotgun activities both in Nitro and Black Powder. He sourced and set up the clay target throwers so that the club now has a comprehensive and modern set of throwers. Charlie, for many years, ran a charity shotgun shoot where all profits were donated to local institutions to assist young children. On several occasions $1000 cheques were donated to the children’s ward at Shoalhaven Hospital to buy toys etc for the little ones. Both Wal and Charlie are still active within the Nowra Rifle Club Inc.

13.01.2022 Saturday 24th saw the 1st Burrill Ulladulla Scout Group attend the Nowra Rifle Range. It was great to see the scouts and their Leaders participate. A variety of 22lr rifles were used at a distance of 50m. Quite a few good score cards were achieved to the delight of the scouts. Thanks go to the members who spent time with the scouts showing and explaining the safety and techniques with our sport.
