If you are positive, engaged and proactive, can work well under pressure then we would welcome hearing from you. NPDS is recruiting for experienced Disability Support Workers. We are particularly seeking support workers who are available for a variety of shifts in both SIL accommodation and community support across the Sydney Metro Region. You will have the flexibility to work various shifts including long and short shifts with a minimum of 2 hours. At a minimum, you will have; - Certificate III in Disability/Mental Health or related field - Minimum 2 years experience in disability and mental health environments - Experience working with high needs, complex care clients - Experience supporting clients with mental health, complex behaviours & BIS - Good communication skills both written and verbal - Valid driver’s licence, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle - National Police Clearance (PAID within last 6 months) - First Aid/CPR Certificate - Working with Children Check - Males encouraged to apply - Availability to work various shifts 24/7 including weekends and split shifts Your application must include a brief cover letter so we can get to know you better, and your resume/CV, including two contactable professional referees. Sarah has 13 years experience in the Disability industry working predominantly in the Western Sydney area. She also brings with her personal experience as a mother of a son with Autism and experiencing her own physical disability.
