Local councils rez...oning land, demolishing existing architecture for what? An eyesore? No! Most of us live in a convenient world, we like amenities close to us. If we want to grab dinner we don’t want to get into our cars. There is purpose behind redevelopment, close to good schools for our kids, close to public transport and infrastructure. Statistics show us that 2 in 5 people in Sydney occupy an apartment, most aged between 25-34. Vertical families also account for 20% and renters make 13%. These figures do not include the influx of new residence flooding our shores this year. Let’s be honest new apartments have a bad rap! I get it, it can feel like the construction phase never ends and then there’s all the hype! What people forget is that during the boom phase apartments new and old kept up with the capital growth of houses. Now the market has flattened apartments are holding there own. My clients purchase apartments because the initial investment is significantly lower, consistent returns, stronger rental yield and more BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! When you purchase based on trends, you're in the long game and that's where the money is made. Not with over the counter predictions, changing with the tide. 100,000 people have to go somewhere, that's a fact. So where are you investing this year? Will those 100k rental payments be going elsewhere..?
