24.01.2022 We have had a customer come in with an over heating problem. Our guys have carried out a cooling system test, during this we found exhaust gases in the cooling system and further removed the head for testing. Luke has been employed with us as a school based apprentice for 2019 and during this time he has won the North Queensland School Based Apprentice of the year as well as the Queensland School Based Apprentice of the year. Next week Whilst Lukes mates are all at schoolies he will be attending the Australia Apprentice of the year award. NQ Diesel is proud to have Luke on board now as a fulltime apprentice. 08.01.2022 Happy Hump Day Townsville! PLEASE DO NOT SELF DIAGNOSE YOU COULD BE WASTING LOADS OF MONEY! What a massive week it has been already, as we all know google is great for finding general information it is not so great for diagnosing mechanical faults. Customer had been falsely led by google forums and was hesitant to get the vehicle repaired, as he had believed air bubbles in the radiator were caused by a faulty head which would lead to costly repair bill. After our knowledge...able mechanics had carried out a series of test it was diagnosed to have a faulty EGR Cooler which leads to this vehicle being repaired at a cost below he customers expectation.
