Membership: To play you must become or be a member. This is so you are covered for insurance. Casual option available for those who can't play more than 3 games for the rest of the year. 09.01.2022 SEASON SUSPENDED Good Evening Everyone As you would all be very aware, our country is currently in the beginning stages of our fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.... Even though the current ban is for gatherings of 100 people or more inside, we are all being asked to be vigilant about social distancing and hygiene to help stop the spread of the virus to our most vulnerable people in our communities. As everyone of us will have loved ones that are in the vulnerable high risk groups, the NQBA Committee has made the tough decision to suspend our season now to ensure we avoid any inadvertent spreading of the virus. Please be kind to each other and reach out for help as you need it. Make sure you follow the advice of the Public Health authorities (https://www.qld.gov.au//conditions/he/coronavirus-covid-19) and stay healthy and safe with your loved ones. We will post here when it is appropriate and safe to recommence our beloved sport.

03.01.2022 Broomball update & Weekend Games Unfortunately we are not able to run a competition this season as our numbers are depleted since COVID-19 forced our break. This is definitely only a temporary measure to keep everything going while we build our numbers back up. Plan for rest of 2020 ... For the rest of the year we will be holding 1 x 40 minute scratch match every Sunday for club members commencing this Sunday 23 August 2020. Time: 6:30pm sharp face off - doors open from 6:15pm for gearing up and team sort. Cost: $20 per person per game. No cash - bank tranfer only. Membership: To play you must become or be a member. This is so you are covered for insurance. Casual option available for those who can't play more than 3 games for the rest of the year. Senior (18yrs & over) - $60 Junior (13 - 17yrs) - $40 Social (Any aged non-player or casual player for 3 games maximum) - $5 Membership Forms need to be completed & returned to Ange Kimber over the next 2 weeks and payment in by 5 September 2020 before stepping on the ice. If you will have difficulty with this please speak with a committee member to discuss payment plans. We want to help everyone be able to get on the ice and know times are still tough for some so happy to work with you. COVID-19 Measures To keep us all safe we have measures in place as per COVID safe guidelines. Sanitation stations in the rink with hand sanitiser for everyone to use. Please use it and even better wash your hands! All equipment used is sanitised after use each week including balls, helmets, shoes, knee/shins, elbow pads, jerseys and whistles. To help ensure this happens effectively please give used gear to Ange Kimber to sanitise before pack up. Temperature checks on arrival and no entry if temperature detected. If you are sick or feeling unwell, please stay home and consider following Qld Health directions to get tested. Contact register - We must collect contact details for everyone who attends each session. Please ensure you provide your contact details details to Ange Kimber and update us if any of them change between sessions. Non compliance with this may mean you are unable to stay and play. This is part of COVID safe directives that allow us to remain running, non-compliance could see us shut down. Social Distancing - please maintain social distancing while gearing up and while on the side lines including waiting to sub in. No hand shaking post match - elbow bumps encouraged! As always pass on the message and like the post to help get everyone informed.
