25.01.2022 Team Tuesday this week with Sarah Jane Griffiths! Q: How long have you worked at NQEF and what is your role? A: It has been a bit over 6 months, doing Project Admin/Accounts! Q: Best thing about being part of the NQEF team? A: I live a 1 minute drive/ 4 minute walk away. Oh and the people are cool too I guess :P ... Q: What does a day generally look like for you? A: A bit of everything emails, phone calls, invoices, spreadsheets, filing, and my favourite part - the Facebook and Instagram :D Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself. A: I have lived and worked in 3 countries, and I am a professional dancer! I am currently in the Paramour Cabaret show at the Casino, but previously have danced for 3 major sporting teams in Canada, dance agencies in Canada and the UK, for our local sporting teams in FNQ, and so many amazing events I don’t have the space to list them all! Q: What are you currently working on? A: Well, I’m currently posting this! But earlier I was doing the accounts payable end of month statements. Q: Favourite part of the week? A: Team Tuesday.. going around and annoying the boys to answer these questions and for a photo xD Q: What is your favourite thing to do on weekends? A: My ideal weekend will include the outdoors, adventures, coffee dates, family and friends, and dance jobs! See more

24.01.2022 For the last Team Tuesday of the year we are doing a special sit down with the boss! John Gammie has agreed to answer some questions for us. Q: When did you first open NQ Engineering and Fabrication? How has it evolved since then? A: 25/02/2002. We started by building boats and sheds. We have progressed into a multifaceted business including truck mounted cranes, ute trays, and infrastructure construction. Q: What is the most important thing you have learned in your 18 year...s in business? A: That good staff are one of the most essential parts of a business. Q: What does a day generally look like for you? A: Mayhem. Controlled chaos! Q: How many people do you currently have working for you? What is the best thing about your team? A: We currently employ 22 people. Our team has diverse experience in multiple facets and varying degrees of engineering. Q: What would you say has been your greatest achievement to date? Why? A: Too many to list! But family first. Q: Tell us some fun facts about yourself. A: I’m a qualified gymnastics coach, I have come second in the Pyramid race, and I CAN smile even though people don’t think I can! Q: What are some upcoming projects and future plans for NQEF? A: We are currently finalizing some large infrastructure projects, and have multiple orders for trucks, truck mounted cranes, service bodies, and ute trays and canopies, booked into the new year. Q: Favourite part of the week? A: Every day you’re not in the ground! Q: What is your favourite thing to do on weekends and in your spare time? A: Spending time with the family, and anything that has a motor whether it’s boats, bikes, buggies or 4WDs! See more

A: About 3 months, Accounts Payable. Q: Best thing about being part of the NQEF team?... A: I like working for a company that has a good reputation, and everyone is very friendly. Q: What does a day generally look like for you? A: Paperwork, invoices, filing and workplace heath and safety documents. Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself. A: I lived on a boat for 7 years and traveled around Australia. I also worked on a freight barge as a deck hand driving loaders. Q: What are you currently working on? A: Entering data in MYOB. A: I have been with NQEF for 2 years, and I am a 3rd year Apprentice Boilermaker. Q: Best thing about being part of the NQEF team? A: Working with good blokes who are always down for a laugh. ... Q: What does a day generally look like for you? A: Anything from building a truck tray to structural steel jobs. Q: Tell us something about yourself. A: I referee outdoor soccer. Q: What are you currently working on? A: I am working on a shade shelter for an electrical switchboard at a sewerage treatment plant. Q: Favourite part of the week?
