25.01.2022 At the time the choice of Mephan Ferguson’s radical new locking bar pipes for the goldfields pipeline was brave and innovative. Take a step back in Australia's history to 1885 where supplying water to the WA goldfields created history.

24.01.2022 Hands-on experience is an integral component in the making of a good leader and Phil Brennan is just that. Upon joining NQ Excavations as a foreman in 1997, Phil brought with him both knowledge and experience of the plumbing and pipeline trade. From there he was promoted to project manager in recognition of his skills, experience and leadership qualities. He became a director and co-owner of the company in 2008, however still maintains a hands-on role as the company’s projec...t manager. Project managers typically lead by example, and Phil provides a positive work ethic for the rest of the NQ Excavations Pty Ltd team. Thank you Phil!

23.01.2022 #tbt Reminiscing to 2017 at Alma Bay on Magnetic Island, where our team installed a package pump station in Alma Bay Park to service the public amenities. The extent of works for the #townsvillecitycouncil project included: - Supply and construction of a sewage pump station, including electrical switchboard, pumps and internal pipework; - Supply and construction of an overflow headwall and connecting pipework; and... - Supply and construction of a DN50 PE sewer pressure main over a length of 600m, including the connection to the existing maintenance hole. We're just putting it out there, we're available for more island jobs #nqexcavations #haveagreatday

And there's more to come! #nqexcavations #haughtonpipelineduplicationproject

10.01.2022 Friday was a great day at Rowes Bay where our team NQE Hard Hitters competed at the Chamber 33rd annual golf day. It was a great opportunity for local businesses to get out and enjoy a fun day in paradise, to meet new suppliers, new networks, to reconnect, and to support each other. Congratulations to Carmelo DiBella for taking out the Men's longest drive (sponsored by Joyce Mayne).... 07.01.2022 Fun Fact: Australia’s first pipeline was commissioned in the late 1800s to transport water to the Coolgardie gold fields. This set a worldwide precedent by being more than 10 times longer than any other existing pipeline.

06.01.2022 It's not about how fast or how far you have to go. It's about digging deep and pushing yourself to keep moving forward. Have a brilliant week ahead! #nqexcavations

05.01.2022 Great works for a great city! We recently shared some pics of this North Ward project and found this good news story in our archives. Proud North Queenslanders reside here #nqexcavations

04.01.2022 Project: Gordon Creek / Stuart Creek / Racecourse Road Creek, Stuart, Townsville The Western Outfall Pressure Main is a DN900 pipe approximately 5.4 km long that delivers wastewater flows from approximately 30 Townsville and Cleveland pump stations. The pipeline was over 40 years old and used reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) for all of the below ground sections. The original RCP’s at these particular crossings deteriorated, and were replaced with fibreglass reinforce...d pipes (FRP) approximately 25 years ago. These FRP sections also deteriorated and were removed and replaced under this project undertaken by NQ Excavations in 2015 for the Townsville City Council. The three crossings were replaced with Mild Steel Cement Lined pipe supported by the existing pedestals. Works were conducted within tidal movements to minimise any impact on the environment. #nqexcavations #pipelineconstruction
