11.01.2022 The Ski Erg A staple in our Shred Class, the ski is a fantastic low impact full body movement which burns a lot of calories! Here are some tips to get the most out of the Ski erg ... -Make your self tall! Getting onto the toes and reaching your arms to full length allows you to transfer your body weight into the downward motion -Time your breath with the movement, as you reach up inhale and as you come down exhale! This allows you to get in a Rhythm, especially for the longer distances. -Don’t round the back, ensuring the spine stays straight will keep you safe and performing well during the movement -Keep your arms moving in a straight line, you don’t want to let the arms move to far from centre! Avoid getting into the circle motion to maximise efficiency.
