A massive thanks to our Events Officer, Teena for coordinating and making this happen and to our members for volunteering their time to help the club out even when the Bledisloe Cup was on Here are some of our Dragons from last months BBQ fundraiser! 15.01.2022 We promise you, your Sunday will not be complete until you come down to Bunnings Warehouse Australia - Fairfield Waters and grab a sausage on bread and a nice cold drink! Some of our Dragons taking a few hours out of their Sunday to fundraise for (fingers cross) the extension to our current club house. Our AGM yesterday identified we raised over $15,000 in fundraising in the last financial year!... What a club, what a community, what a year! #dragonboatlife

13.01.2022 Training allows me to switch off from all the thoughts and stresses that come with daily life. For one hour on the water I am focused on improving my stroke, fitness and synchronicity. From time to time depending on how breathless I am during rest periods I have a moment of gratitude. ... But it brings me great sadness to say these thoughts will be drastically reduced when that North Queensland humidity hits full steam. #nqphoenix #dragonlife #townsville

12.01.2022 NQ Phoenix are so grateful for the amazing support that they have received from Operation Compass to acquire equipment to start up our club’s Purple Warrior team in such a strong way. With the Round 2 funding we have been able to purchase a Purple Warrior equipment trailer and an awesome OC2 for training. Due to this crazy COVID year we haven’t had the chance to use them much as yet, but we did at least get the OC2 to the water. How fantastic do they look! Our Purple Warrior ...membership is starting to build, so please check us out on our website and Facebook page, and we welcome you to come and try the great fun, active team focussed sport that is dragon boat paddling. Or come and see us at the Veterans Health Week Mini Expo on 24th October at the Townsville RSL.
