16.01.2022 Welcome back Santa for 2019. The elf has been busy at NQPC

16.01.2022 NQPC is OPEN for Business as usual with bit of a hygiene twist! NQPC would like everyone to feel comfortable and are taking all precautions necessary to keep our staff and patients safe and healthy in this tricky, difficult period. When coming into the clinic please be prepared to have your temperature taken as an additional screening process. We would like to offer Home visits to those who are concerned about the risk of moving about in the community or are in high risk cat...egories. Please also feel free to call the clinic and speak with your physiotherapist if you would like any advice or have any questions, whilst you are recovering. If you are unwell, please do not attend your appointment. Our reception staff are happy to help reschedule your appointment for when you are feeling better. Yours in health, NQPC staff

16.01.2022 GETTING SICK OF SITTING??? Are you currently working from home or finding that you're sitting at the computer more during home isolation? Sitting at an ergonomically correct work station can help keep you comfortable and prevent back and neck pain setting in by the end of the day. Here's a few things to check:... *. Are your hips and knees bent to approximately 90 and your feet resting comfortably flat on the floor or a foot rest? *. Is your back supported by and resting against the back of the chair? *. Is your neck in line with the rest of your spine (no chin poke) and your eye gaze comfortably on the top 1/3 of the computer screen? * And if possible are your forearms supported and your wrists in a neutral position? Unfortunately not all home work spaces are perfect so don't forget to give yourself regular exercise/movement breaks. This can include going for a walk (either outside or between rooms in your house.......coffee time???), or by completing a series of quick little exercises to give your body a break from prolonged sitting. A few suggestions are: *. Sit to stand (repeat 3x everytime you stand from a chair). *. Marching on the spot x20. * Standing holding chair squat and then raise onto your toes X10. * Gentle back bends backwards or side to side x5-10. *. Gentle lunge steps to stretch the hip flexors (the muscles at the front of your hips that tighten with prolonged sitting). *. Shoulder rolls and neck rotations side to side. If you have any questions or would like some help to manage the effects of sitting, please don't hesitate to call the clinic. Keep moving and stay well everyone!!!

12.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder. Please call our Reception on 4723 2233 to reschedule your appointment and please remember to social distance.

10.01.2022 NQPC is open. We can assure everyone that additional precautions and screenings have been put in place to ensure the safety of our patients. We have spaced appointments, we have limited the chairs in the waiting room, we have outside seating available, we have created a hand sanitizing station on arrival and all patients will be required to have there temperature checked for additional screening and increased communication with patients around travel and being sick, NOT TO ...COME IN. If you are in pain and can't come into the clinic, give our lovely Reception staff a call to see if we can organise a home visit or alternatively your physiotherapist can discuss your options over the phone or via telehealth. Please call 4723 2233 to discuss your options
