Th...is tournament also shapes up as selection trials for players wanting to make the NQ side for under 19s, mens and women. The stingers mens and under 19s side will be travelling up over labour weekend and be playing games against Mt Isa, FNQ, and Townsville. Establishing the stingers under 19s side will be key in the success of the men's stingers team in years to come as well as strengthen the local club rugby standards. With a few more additions to both squads, the final side will be out early next week. Keep an eye on the Daily Mercury for more rugby union news relating to the side and how they perform in Cairns, as well as any Mackay & Districts based players that make the NQ side.
