11.01.2022 LETS TALK WORMING YOUR CHICKENS If you are worming with by natural methods your ladies must be done regulaly - if you choose the commercial worming route 'm...ost' people ( not all but statistically most ) worm every 6 months.. Chickens are prone to contracting parasitic worms, such as gapeworms, roundworms, & tapeworms. Worms can cause weight loss, poor egg production, and even death. Luckily, there are several ways to worm chickens, including using natural methods & medication. DIATOMACEOUS EARTH - a natural dewormer that is believed to dehydrate & kill the chicken's internal parasites and worms. Simply add it to their feed - 1/4 cup (85 grams) of DE to 990 gm of feed. Make sure to mix it thoroughly and evenly into the feed. Diatomaceous earth is food safe for pets. However, humans should not breathe in the powder. We sell DE for $5 per kg Feed your chickens apple cider vinegar for a cheap worming alternative. Add 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar 3.8L of your chickens' drinking water. In addition to the health benefits of its vitamins and minerals, apple cider vinegar is a mild antiseptic and mild antibiotic. It can kill germs and bacteria and prevent worms from living in your chickens. It can also raise the acidity of the water, making the chickens' guts less conducive to bacteria. Garlic makes chicken intestines less attractive to parasites. Grind up 3 to 4 cloves and mix them evenly into your chicken feed. Garlic can also boost your chickens' immune systems and respiratory systems. You'll need to repeat natural treatments for 4 to 5 days. Regardless of what kind of natural treatment you decide to use, it's important to conduct it consistently.
