24.01.2022 As we continue to follow the news updates on the coronavirus, we are faced with a situation we have never experienced before. We have been moved by the show of... support many of our diners have expressed in supporting our local business and other local businesses doing it tough too. We also completely understand, and appreciate, that some of you have had to cancel your group bookings and private events at A Touch of Salt due to your own health concerns and precautionary measures. We would love to say this virus hasn't affected our restaurant business adversely, but it has. Not by way of our health - our team remains healthy- but by the same economic impacts many businesses are experiencing across the world. (Except for those toilet paper companies!) Today, our family sat down and discussed what measures we could take to ensure our business can continue through these upside down times. So, here is our action plan. TAKE-AWAY MENU Our whole philospohy is that the best meals are good food shared with good people. So, if you can't enjoy our food at our place, let us send it to yours! Later this week we will launch a take-away menu, available Tuesdays-Saturdays, 5pm-late. We are just finalising this menu now as we want to make sure every dish will travel well. Once confirmed, we will post the menu to Facebook and our website. You will be able to order A touch of salt take-away by phone - 4724 4441. COOK LIKE A PRO - FOOD BOXES Michael is working on some recipe cards and video tutorials so that you can make our dishes at home yourself! We'll pack all the ingredients (top quality stuff) and recipe card into a box, for you to begin cooking like a pro. We will post our COOK LIKE A PRO FOOD BOX menu later this week, once recipes are finalised. You will be able to order by phone - 4724 4441. SAFE SPACE DINING Information from health authorities states that in order to contract coronavirus, you need to be in face-to-face contact with someone for 15 minutes, or in the same closed space for 2 hours. We have opened our large bi-fold doors to increase air flow, and also reduced the number of tables in the restaurant to allow greater distance between tables. PRIVATE CATERING If you have planned, or are planning, a group booking at our restaurant but would rather host this at your home now, please remember we are able to cater at your place. To ensure there is enough stock to go around, we have had to restrict the sale of some of these lines.
