23.01.2022 One of my favourite frogs to find around Kingfisher Park are the Cogger's Barred-frog (Mixophyes coggeri). They always look disgruntled at something! They can also grow up to nearly 10cm, making them an impressive looking frog!

21.01.2022 Last night we had some excellent views of a gorgeous Fawn-footed Melomys (Melomys cervinipes) as it was foraging in one of the fruit trees.

19.01.2022 Even though it's a bit chilly at night the reptiles can still be found. Last night we stumbled across a gorgeous Australian Scrub Python (Morelia kinghorni). This was only a little one as they are capable of growing up to 5m or more and are considered Australia's largest snake!

19.01.2022 Lately, there have been a small number of Red-legged Pademelons visiting us in the orchard. They are very flighty so it has been hard to get a good photo of them.

19.01.2022 Another one of the beautiful moths that we can find in the rainforest here at Kingfisher Park.

17.01.2022 Bats aren't the only ones enjoying the exotic fruit trees in the orchard at the moment. This large fruit piercing moth was also getting in on the action!

16.01.2022 This beautiful moth is a 4 o'clock Moth that can usually be seen flying around during the day. This one must have lost his watch though because it was not 4 o'clock!

15.01.2022 Two excellent sightings of the Green Ringtail Possum last night on my walk. One was moving through the trees while this little one was happily munching on some fig leaves. Photo: Susannne Stannard.

11.01.2022 Another of our spectacular native fruit piercing moths was out feeding on the fruit in the orchard last night. The picture doesn't do it justice but this was a very large moth!

11.01.2022 The very cute Striped Possum (Dactylopsila trivirgata) has been seen foraging in the Orchard lately. This one was tapping along a branch looking for insects to eat. You can see it's elongated finger that it uses to reach in and grab the insects out.

10.01.2022 One of our cute and cuddly visitors to Kingfisher Park are the Green Ringtail Possums (Pseudochirops archeri). This one was seen on last nights night walk!

08.01.2022 Sometimes you can't get clean skin unless you eat your old one like this little White-Lipped Treefrog was doing.

05.01.2022 One of the most common sights on a night walk in the rainforest is the shinning eyes of spiders. They come in many shapes, sizes and colours. From the littlest spiders in the leaf litter to large huntsmans. All are unique and fascinating to look at.

01.01.2022 You know it's winter when even the frogs get goosebumps! This little Dainty Treefrog (Litoria gracilenta) was out braving the chill last night.
