20.01.2022 Today NRAV2 Delungra children celebrated our last day of Preschool for 2020. We would like to thank the CWA of NSW - Delungra Branch, Givit Charity, and a very generous person in Canberra for donating the School bag packs to our seven NRAV2 preschool children who are graduating to BIG School in 2021. And also to the CWA - Delungra Branch for donating other small gifts to all our other preschool children. THANK YOU to CWA of NSW-Delungra Branch, Mary and Ella Shephard, we really appreciate everything you do for our preschool and the Delungra Community QA6- Collaborative partnerships with families and communities- 6.2.3 Community engagement- The service builds relationships and engages with its community.

18.01.2022 QA 3.2.3 Environmentally responsible- our Preschool cares for the environment and supports children to become environmentally responsible......Initiating and contributing in small group play experience...... We borrowed some rakes........... the children raked leaves into a pile ...... then enthusiastically jumped in, scattered, threw into the air and covered ourselves in leaves.........

16.01.2022 2021 PRESCHOOL FEES With the assistance of the NSW State Government our IDFS Preschool services will be providing 2 days of FREE preschool in 2021. For days enr...olled over these 2 FREE Preschool days (per approved service) you will charged a daily fee inline with our current fee schedule (as follows); Indigenous fee - $4 per day Level 1 fee - $8 per day Level 2 fee - $12 per day Level 3 fee - $15 per day Full fee - $18 per day (Please note "levels" are based on family income level and to have this applied you will be required to provide proof of income with enrolment). Extra day fee after 3 days enrolled at a service is $24 per day Bush Preschool Transport Levy $5 per day Casual day fee is $27.00 Please note that this fee structure is only in relation to our Preschools and does not include Little Sprouts Learning Centre Catherine Campbell Centre or Grow Family Day Care IDFS Our fee policy and fee collection policy has been updated in relation to these changes. 05.01.2022 Last week we celebrated Wild Koala Day - Delungra children drew pictures of Koalas and shared their knowledge of Koalas with Educators and peers. We all learnt the Gamilaraay word for Koala is ‘Guda’........ DC- Koalas eat gum leaves. LS- Koalas have babies. RR- They eat leaves. ... EP- That they always eat leaves. CB- Koalas climb down trees. CR- koalas eat leaves. RB- my Koala has long legs Thank you to Philippa Raw for displaying our Koala artwork at the Delungra Post Office.

04.01.2022 Michelle and Renee wish all our children and families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New year. We look forward to seeing most of you when preschool resumes on Monday 1st February 2021.

03.01.2022 Today Gilgai children hosted a Mother’s Day afternoon tea. Thank you to the beautiful Mums and Grandmothers who attended .... we hope you all had an enjoyable afternoon playing with your children or grandchildren doing puzzles, building with construction toys, drawing pictures, bathing and dressing babies, hanging out the washing or looking at your child’s Portfolios. The children painted pictures of their Mum and told us why they love her. We wish you all a very Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday

02.01.2022 Quoted by Alfred Wainwright, There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing. Autumn fun!! We love autumn at Gilgai school and the sea of colourful leaves that blanket the ground. During our outdoor play time we went on a leaf hunt, the children were enthusiastic throwing leaves into the air and watching them fall back down. Please ensure children have appropriate clothing to suit the weather to allow them to play in all sorts of weather at NRAV2 preschools
