14.01.2022 It's only 10m, easy? Event will be a sudden death knockout so you'll need your game face if you want to make it to the second round. The club will supply, targets, pellets and a match grade FWB 300 target rifle as part of your registration fee.

12.01.2022 Australia Day Comp The club will be hosting a competition comprising several disciplines for Australia Day 2021 Benchrest will comprise 3 targets with 2 targets shot across the weekend of Saturday 23rd (Air Rifle) and Sunday 24th (Rimfire) January 2021... Qualifying rounds for Metallic Silhouette and 10m Air Rifle will also be conducted across the weekend Finals Day - Tuesday 26th September 2021 Final - Benchrest Card Final - Metallic Sihouette Final - 10m Air Rifle Cost: $20 per competitor per day (range fee and targets inclusive) Due to COVID19 registration is essential, payment and registration form must be returned to the club no later than COB Sunday 17th January 2021

08.01.2022 I would just like to take this opportunity to thank event sponsor Newcastle Armoury, Range Officers, Officials, Volunteers and Competitors for what was a memorable two days of target rifle competition. Saturday showed a taste of what was to come, when after the dust had settled on the 25m Heavy Varmint Air Rifle the top three competitors had all achieved identical combined scores. First place was determined on the total X count. But this left second and third place with iden...tical combined scores, identical X count and leaving the scorers searching for first miss to determine the final placings, talk amount a close result! This trend continued into Sunday when the top two competitors in the Heavy Varmint Rimfire had both achieved identical combined scores and total X count had to be used to determine places. You’ve never seen a grin so large when it dawned that the winner had just beaten out two National Champions for first place, well done Nick! Metallic Silhouette was next at the benches and again the competition was fierce. The first perfect round to be shot. The first semi-final went down to a tie break. And the final? Had everyone on the edge of their seats till the last shot was fired. The result came down to a singular silhouette between first and second, Rob and Rob it was a pleasure to watch you both go head to head. Quiet achiever has to go to Brian C who made his way through every round of the 10m air rifle on Saturday and continued this throughout Sunday to beat out all competitors and be crowned Q50 10m Air Rifle Champion for 2020. A special thanks to both Sue and Kylie for keeping the troops fed and watered and everything on track across the whole two days. Hope to see you all next year for a repeat performance.
