23.01.2022 http://waca.wa.cricket.com.au//premier%20cricket%20covid%2 This is the current COVID Policy from Premier Cricket. The most relevant portion of this policy for our playing conditions is about the condition of the ball. Its very important that we follow these policies for all our sakes.

22.01.2022 There have been a couple of changes during the offseason. The first big news came when North Beach Cricket Club merged with Doubleview Carine Cricket Club who play in WASTCA Association. North Beach was one of the founding members of The Wanneroo Cricket Association in 1977, who later changed its name to the NSCCA in 2008. The next piece of news happened only in the last couple of weeks when Leederville Cricket Club joined the NSCCA. Leederville are a huge club who will be br...inging 8 teams into the competition. Leederville will be our southernmost team who play their home games at the impressive Brittania Reserve. Grant Manzoney, Damian McLachlan and I will be doing this seasons grading in the next couple of days, and I can tell you it wont be easy to fit in all those teams, but it will be fun. Then the fixtures have to be worked out before Round 1 on October 17th.

18.01.2022 A special report by our correspondent and the field, Mr Hugh Jampton. Thanks, Hugh, keep them coming. The Great Day Excited crowds turned up early at Anthony Waring Park to see the final days play of Bully’s 300th game. It was standing room only in the main clubhouse viewing area as the patrons flocked in, hoping to get close to their hero. Cameras then exploded into life as the great man appeared from the...Continue reading

11.01.2022 David Fernandez Well, week 1 is down and week 2 is looking good. We had a great start to our Winter T20 season with a lot of pre-game excitement and a level of enthusiasm that we haven't seen in quite a while. The grass may have been wet but it seems that spirits weren't. I think people were just really happy to be out onto the park again after such a long hiatus. There was some drizzle early in the day but luckily we only lost two overs from one game and the other matches pl...ayed out as usual. There were some good performance on the day which saw some players get off to a flyer, details of which can be found on the "Perth T20 Winter Cricket League" MyCricket site. Remember, we start our online scoring tomorrow. There will still be the traditional scorebook to complete in conjunction with the MyCricket setup because two scorers make a more accurate scorebook as there is regular conferring taking place. A smartphone or tablet is all that's required and the process is remarkably simple. There'll be representatives from WACA at each venue for the morning matches and into the start of the afternoon games to help guide us through the initial stages and to help get us acquainted with the system. Thank you to those who attended last night's online scoring session at Balga Cricket Club with James Hewitt, I'm sure you found it very informative. We are, indeed, very lucky to have James in our corner as he is very supportive of our competition and is always happy to help our cricket community and is only too happy to be. Tomorrow is forecast be 20c, fine and sunny which should make for some great T20 cricket. Good luck everyone, get stuck into it, but remember to enjoy yourselves as that's what it's all about!
