24.01.2022 Theres something magical about the morning hours. This quiet, calm time of the day is unrivaled. In fact, the morning time is so unrivaled that its the only time of day in which thousands of articles and hundreds of books are written about every year. Benjamin Franklin said one of the most quoted phrases in history about the morning time:

14.01.2022 The statistics are far from reassuring: one in four Australian households have been burgled and there are over 10,000 house fires every year leading to death and injury. Here we highlight some simple steps you can take right now to protect your home and your family. A combination of simple measures can help safeguard your home. Install a burglar alarm. Lock up every time you leave - windows and doors Lock your side gates, garden shed and garage. Always lock doors... between your house and garage Install movement-activated sensor lights and trim trees and shrubs, close to windows and doors that provide cover for intruders List all your valuable items, photograph antiques and jewellery and keep receipts with your list to help with insurance claims Make sure your home contents insurance policy is current. And that youre insured for the right amount to cover the replacement cost of your contents at todays prices Dont leave spare keys outside. Burglars know all the hiding spots Dont advertise that youre out or away. Whether youre away for a day or two or a few weeks, try and keep your home looking as lived-in as possible Dont advertise your possessions. Dont leave the box of your new TV outside the house, cut it up and recycle. https://www.nrma.com.au//keeping-safe/home-safety-security See more

05.01.2022 Sunday, 24 May 2015 - MISSING MOUNTAIN BIKES - Bulcock Beach Caloundra 2014 Model - Red & Grey and White & Green It appears someone needed our two Specialized mountain bikes more than we did... We were heading out for breakfast at about 07:55am this morning as we walked past our garage downstairs Denise just casually checked that the garage door was locked and to our surprise it wasnt . I then tried the door and the second Dead Lock was still locked I then opened the door with the intention of locking it properly once again this is when we discovered that two of our six bikes had disappeared. This happened between 22:30 last night when they were last seen and this morning at 07:55am when discovered missing. We reported the incident over the phone to Police and at about 10:30am we were visited by Senior Constable Peter Dixon and his Colleague. The good news is that nothing else was disturbed. The garage is having a back-to-base monitored alarm installed today. And we were wondering what we were going to do with our free Sunday OFF (First Day off uncommitted for a few months) Please share
