23.01.2022 DUFFICY SPRING CARNIVAL - LATE SCRATCHING The Stewards of the Hunters Hill Jockey Club (aka Hunters Hill Junior Rugby Union) announces that after consultati...on with the Sydney Junior Racing Union (SJRU) that this years "Dufficy (Cup) Spring Carnival" has been scratched (cancelled). Under advisement from WADA (aka NSW Health), the Stewards felt that the heightened risk of competitors having banned substances (COVID-19) meant that it was in the best interests of all to scratch this year's event. Trainers around the Metropolitan, Provincial & Country tracks will no doubt be disappointed - even with the short preparation. But we wish you will with the rest of your campaigns before you all 'spell' in the Spring. Punters at the local track were quite excited this year after the two local entrants "Enter the Dragon" & "One Goat" both performed well at a recent barrier trial. Hopefully they can take this form into their next preparation. Final Nominations were actually due today and the fields were looking strong as we headed into the 'Barrier Draw'.
