23.01.2022 Thank you so much to the Black & Gold Team at North Steyne SLSC and to Nick Roelvink North Steyne Legend and Life Member. Sending off our Grandmother and Oscars Great Grandmother. She passed away in July 2020 with Covid preventing the family being together with border closures. Her wish was to be scattered at Shelly Beach with bagpipes playing. Thanks to the North Steyne boaties Rob, Pip, Tom, Nick and Dave. Gold medal effort

14.01.2022 A big thank you to all the volunteers from across all parts of our Surf Life Saving Club. We had 85 volunteers as course marshals, finish line setup, finish line drink station, medals, fruit stalls and pack up. The feedback from the Northern Beaches Council Team and the competitors was extremely positive. There is now a road map for everyone in NSW to successfully run events in the current Covid environment. Well done to all and a special thanks to the Mighty Patrol 12 and Ni...pper families who backed up for Patrol and/or SRC Assessment after the event. Our efforts should see just over $3,000 donated to our Club to benefit our Nippers, Youth, Competition Teams and Patrols. Thank you again for getting up early and ensuring this event was such a success. 06.01.2022 Happy National Volunteer Week we are so fortunate at North Steyne SLSC to have so many generous volunteer members who not only serve the community by patrolling over the surf season but who also give up time to join in community activities like Nippers, Carnivals, fundraising BBQ’s, etc. Surf Clubs like ours provide a safe, fun and continual learning space for all, that is why it is one area of volunteering you can keep in the family - just like Oscar, (pictured here) with his dad! They both completed SLS awards this season and now enjoy volunteering together on Patrol 5. What an awesome way to spend time as a family and give back to community at the same time ...
