25.01.2022 The Politicians, especially Abbot and Ronaldson should be very ashamed of the treatment that is being meted out to this Digger. If he was a Politician and received a paper cut or a boil on his backside because he sat for too long, he would be much better off financially with all of the medical support needed to make his life easier.

25.01.2022 On the 18th August 1966 Soldiers of D Coy 6 RAR encountered a massive force of North Vietnamese soldiers in what was to become one of the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War. Eighteen Australians lost their lives on that fateful day and on that day, every year those of us that served in Vietnam pay homage to them and the other 503 who died in Vietnam. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them - Lest We Forget. Our politicians and Government may... have forgotten them, discounted the heroism of all those that have served and either died or been wounded (mentally and physically) and changed the laws and regulations to make it harder for Veterans to get their just entitlements but all Veterans an ADF Members stand proud and united together as one - a band of brothers touched by war and the injustices that it brings. 24.01.2022 PLEASE PASS THIS PHOTO ON IF YOU THINK SHE NEEDS TO STAND DOWN AND RETIRE....... Let's ALL together have this Rear Admiral removed from her post due to those hideous comments she made ... Pass on if you agree...

24.01.2022 The NSVSC is looking to conduct a similar thing here in WA. If you know of someone that can help then please let us know.

22.01.2022 Remember the Fallen but fight like hell for the Living.

22.01.2022 The Northern Suburbs Veterans Support Centre Inc. has a new webpage and we are seeking feedback on its content. Please check us out at www.nsvsc.org.au and please let me know what you think.

22.01.2022 The NSVSC fully supports the the Australian Veterans Suicide Register and asks that all followers of this page get behind them and support the cause as too many young men and women see suicide as the only way out after being forgotten by those that are supposed to look after them.

22.01.2022 Pinocchio, Snow White and Superman are out for a stroll in town one day. As they walk, they come across a sign: "Beauty contest for the most beautiful woman in the world. "I am entering" said Snow White. After half an hour she comes out and they ask her, "Well, how.did you do?"... "First Place," said Snow White. They continue walking and they see a sign: "Contest for the strongest man in the world." "I'm entering," says Superman. After half an hour he returns and they ask him, "How did you make out?" "First Place," answers Superman. "Did you ever doubt?" They continue walking when they see a sign: "Contest! Who is the greatest liar in the world?" Pinocchio says "this is mine." Half an hour later, he returns with tears pouring from his eyes. "What happened?" they asked. "I came third!! Who the hell are Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten?" asked Pinocchio.

22.01.2022 To the person that broke into our Office last night be afraid, very afraid as we are after you! You will not see us, hear us or know that we are their but you will feel us.

21.01.2022 The Northern Suburbs Veterans Support Centre is a not-for-profit public benevolent institution with DGR status from the Australian Taxation Office. It is looking to provide support to disabled Veterans from the Australian Defence Force and it is currently seeking funding to purchase a wheelchair accessible motor vehicle to enable disabled Veterans to attend medical appointments. We can purchase a 2nd hand one from Nulsen Haven for $21,000 but DVA will not assist as it will... only pay for a brand new one at a cost of $100,000 +. If you would like to donate please honour our Veterans by donating to: Northern Suburbs Veterans Support Centre Commonwealth Bank BSB: 06 6058 A/C: 1028 1280 Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible and if a receipt is required please email [email protected]. Your donation would be greatly appreciated. These Veterans need your help. Freedom isn't free! It carries a heavy price tag that only a few are prepared to pay.

20.01.2022 Time for a change!

20.01.2022 We will remember them all

19.01.2022 Over the past couple of days, I have been inundated with requests to clarify the changes to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and the Repatriation Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme in particular the option to pay either the $5.20 per script or the $6.20 per script. So I took the bull by the horns and spoke to a Representative from Priceline Pharmacy, a Member of the Pharmaceutical Guild of Australia and the Deputy Commission (DVA) regarding what is and is not correct and this ...Continue reading

17.01.2022 It never ceases to amaze me what Politicians will say and do to be seen as being supportive of illegal refugees!

16.01.2022 What is a TPI? A great video by TPI Association

15.01.2022 Another day at the VRB and another battle with DAVE! Department Against Veterans Entitlements. What ever happened to a fair deal for Veterans?

14.01.2022 The NSVSC extends it deepest sympathy to those French Citizens who were killed and wounded by the cowardly attacks perpetrated by the cowardly cult ISIS. We hope that those that survived recover to continue to enjoy the freedom that you so richly deserve. Paris is a beautiful city and it is hoped that this type of incident will not diminish its beauty, Viva la France!

13.01.2022 ANZAC Day is fast approaching, time to reflect once more on the futility of war.

12.01.2022 The NSVSC would like to wish all of our Clients, past and present, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May 2017 bring you much joy and happiness>

10.01.2022 Does anyone else see a problem with this? Please let me know through your comments below.

10.01.2022 On any night nearly 3000 Veterans are sleeping rough either in their cars, under bridges or in parks and yet we spend hundreds of millions of dollars paying for air conditioned accommodation for illegal refugees as well as special catering, clothing and education and yet our fellow brothers are treated like shit by our own Government! There is something wrong somewhere.

08.01.2022 I wonder if there are any other Advocates out there that are sick and tired of writing VRB Submission because Delegates cannot read SOP's or just ignore the Factors because they don't want to approve a claim?

08.01.2022 This ANZAC Day take the time to remember the Fallen and those that returned home battle scarred and injured. ANZAC Day comes once a year but the care of these sick and injured Veterans is a 24/7 job 365 days a year. Donate to the Northern Suburbs Veterans Support Centre to assist those in need.

07.01.2022 Please circulate as widely as possible as we are trying to raise funds for short term emergency accommodation. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

06.01.2022 To the person that is trying to cause trouble for me by saying that I served in East Timor and Afghanistan with the Australian Army please desist because it is false and if I find out who it is I will sue them. I am a Vietnam Veteran where I served as a Cpl with 17 Construction Squadron RAE. In 1975 I was selected to become an Officer and graduated on 27th August 1975 as a 2Lt. I rose through the ranks and retired to the Reserve of Officers List on my 45th Birthday, the age... where all Infantry Officers completed their service (unless you were a Colonel or Brigadier). In 2002 and 2003 I was in Iraq working with the United Nations in the Iraq Oil for Food Program (not Military). My involvement with East Timor was also not Military so please do not spread malicious rumours that you do not have any evidence to support. If anyone wants to know what I have done they are more than welcome to contact me direct instead of making insidious remarks to my wife or pestering her with annoying phone calls. I am proud to have served and detest anyone that promotes himself above their station and I have met a few of these through my time as an Advocate for Veterans Rights and perhaps one of these has got a bee in their bonnet because I wouldn't help them with their DVA Claims because they weren't true. If you have the balls then identify yourself so that I can take legal action against you. Arthur Ventham RFD MBA CD AFAIM Chairman Northern Suburbs Veterans Support Centre.

04.01.2022 Mr Arthur Ventham Chairman of the Northern Suburbs Veterans Support Centre Inc. handing over the keys to a new VW Caddy to Mr Bill Ritchie's son/ Mr Ritchie a Vietnam Veteran is suffering from Motor Neurone Disease and is wheelchair bound. The Caddy, provided by DVA as a result of intervention by NSVSC was handed over on 11 December 2015. Funds raised by the NSVSC were used to insure the vehicle and provide over $3000.00 worth of fuel for the vehicle. The vehicle will enable to family to take Bill out on outings and to see his beloved wife who is currently in Joondalup Hospital recuperating from a broken leg. Many thanks to everyone that donated to this worthy cause, it is great to see the Veteran Community come together to help one of their own.

04.01.2022 DVA has recently announced its new Advocacy Training and Development Program to replace the TIP's program. After having read it, it appears as if DVA is working to get rid of the knowledge and expertise of the Vietnam Veteran cohort of Pension Officers and Advocates. Under the new program DVA will be the sole agency to approve or reject those that can act as Advocates. Sounds a bit fishy to me?

04.01.2022 If you would like to donate to the Northern Suburbs Veterans Support Centre please contact the Chairman at [email protected]. NSVSC is a Public Benevolent Charity and all donations over $2.00 are tax deductible. Help us help the Veteran Community. Freedom isn't free! It carries a heavy price tag that only a few are prepared to pay.

04.01.2022 The NSVSC has been seeking donations to build a specific purpose building to help Veterans in need in this the 100th Anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli and guess what? It seems that organisations are all too interested in supporting art and theatre rather than those Veterans that put their lives on the line for freedom and peace.

03.01.2022 To my fellow Vietnam Veterans take pride in what you have done and be proud that you served.

02.01.2022 Why is it that politicians such as Joe Hockey can get over $70,000 per year Living Away from Home Allowance whilst staying in a house owned by his wife when there are over 3000 Veterans living in cars and on the streets because they can't get proper assistance from the Government that sent them to war in the first place? Am I the only one that can see something wrong here?

01.01.2022 For all those Advocates and Pension Officers out there I have a question. A soldier goes to Afghanistan and is injured and one would think that his care and requirements after returning to Australia would be met by DVA right! So hows is it that a Delegate from DVA can make a Decision that his injury cannot be accepted because he wasn't "A Member of the Forces" because he didn't complete three years service"? Am I the only one that thinks this a bit weird?
