18.01.2022 ‘A Struggle for Justice’ Book Launch written by Rev Dr William Emilsen held last night. A life account of the key indigenous leader and founder of Congress Rev Charles Harris’ journey on a struggle to fight for justice and rights of the First Peoples. His life was honoured in this book and is evident until now with his wife Rev Aunty Dorothy Harris and children and its holistic ministry carried by Congress regions. Charmaine Harris their youngest daughter and extended family... were present last night. The National Executive members had the opportunity to share in this momentous occasion as well finishing up there executive meeting this week. As the UCA President declares that this book is a gift to the church and has officially launched the book.

17.01.2022 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2020 NSW WOMEN’S WEEK GRANTS The NSW Government is encouraging charities, not-for-profits, companies limited by guarantee and local government organisations within NSW to apply for grant funding to hold events and activities that celebrate women during the 2020 NSW Women’s Week. Women across NSW make important contributions at work, in our families, communities and neighbourhoods. The 2020 NSW Women’s Week to be held 2-8 March 2020 has been e...stablished as a centrepiece to support the NSW Government’s commitment to improve the lives of women in NSW. The NSW Women’s Week grants provide local organisations with an opportunity to deliver a range of education, mentoring and participatory activities that will provide direct benefit local to women and girls. Grant funding will comprise of grants of up to $5,000 each. Grants objective Events and activities must promote at least one of the three priorities of the NSW Women’s Strategy 2018-2022, which comprise women’s economic opportunity and advancement, health and wellbeing, and participation and empowerment. Economic opportunity and advancement Health and wellbeing Participation and empowerment Grant funding can be used for the direct costs of the event/activity, including promotion, entertainment, catering, venue hire and transport for participants. Who can apply? All Incorporated not-for-profit community organisations that are registered and approved as not-for-profit bodies by NSW Fair Trading. NSW local councils (and their section 355 committees) operating under the Local Government Act (1993) are obliged to cash match or provide in-kind support up to the value of $5000. Application timelines The grants round will open Wednesday 9 October 2019 and close at 5pm Wednesday 6 November 2019. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in mid November 2019. 16.01.2022 What great sense of camarederie as we began our march today to be the voices for our planet earth along with 300,000 people from all over the nation for School Strike for Climate among with students, workers, families, organisations and people of all age groups! To think this all began with one student’s voice from Sweden who expressed her love for the earth and its future, has started a rippling effect globally! #unitingforclimate #ClimateStrike
