22.01.2022 Men Masters committee would like to acknowledge Stuart Moane’s elevation to Legend Status after serving 30 years of state representative to Hockey NSW Masters. Stuart is just the third person in this group and joins inaugural member Kevin Connor (#1 in all 3 categories) and Colin Whittaker. Below is Stuart receiving his plaque from HNSW MM Chairman Andrew (Doc) Terrey at the State Championships in Bathurst.
21.01.2022 Normally this time of year, our state representatives would be participating at the national championships, but sadly Covid19 caused the event to be cancelled for 2020. However, the Mens Masters Committee would like to remind you that it is now only 6 months away for the first State Championships for 2021 in the Over 34s (formerly Over 35s) and Over 65s age groups which will be held at Nepean (Penrith) in 26th - 28th March. Tag somebody you know who now qualifies!
20.01.2022 Some positive news from Hockey NSW
20.01.2022 Some sad news, former NSW (and more recently QLD) Men Masters representative player - Dean Winner passed away on Tuesday 7th April. Dean was from Parkes, and later moved to Coffs Harbour representing Hockey Coffs Coast before the move north. He played for NSW at the Nationals Championships in Hobart in 2012 (Over 40s) and in Perth 2014 (Over 45s)... HNSW Mens Masters passes on our condelences.

18.01.2022 Also presented at the State Championships in Bathurst, Noel Johnstone recevied his life membership after 20 years of distinguished service of representative level for NSW Masters. He becomes just the 40th player to reach this milestone. Congratulations Noel

14.01.2022 Last month, Hockey NSW Men Masters was able to conduct the Over 50s & 65s Field State Championships which was hosted by Bathurst Hockey Association at the Cooke Hockey Complex. To recap the results Final Results... Over 50s Division A - Sydney 2 defeated Parkes 1 (in extra time) Division B - Randwick (SEHA) 3 defeated Sydney (2) 1 Over 65s Division A - Sydney 3 defeated Goulburn 0 Division B - Bathurst 2 defeated Sydney (2) 0
14.01.2022 Last but no means least, the Hockey NSW Over 55s Men Field State Championships will be host by Manning Valley Hockey Association at the Taree Regional Recreational Centre on 25th - 27th June 2021. The Men's Masters Committee hopes the wait will be worth it after the abandonment of this year's event. Never too early to start your planning now! Since the first National Men Masters Championships in Perth in 1980, approximately 1,600 individuals have represented NSW at least once over that time. 11.01.2022 nominations for state selection is now open Given that championships have been brought be sure not to leave it too late to get your nomination in. Nominations for the 50/65s close at midnight on Saturday 7th March. Conditions of Nomination:... N.B. Prior to nominating all players must be registered for the 2020 season. To completer the nomination form you must be logged in as a Member of Hockey NSW. All nominees must complete the ONLINE player nomination form electronically by 12 midnight on the Saturday prior to their championships.
