21.01.2022 HARVEST SAFETY ALERT The NSW Rural Fire Service is urging anyone harvesting in the Federation and Berrigan Shire Council areas to stop and check the weathe...r conditions. A HARVEST SAFETY ALERT has been issued with concern about deteriorating weather conditions and landholders are being asked to consider whether they should continue harvesting.

14.01.2022 Please note the areas of above normal bushfire potential. Dec 2020 - Feb 2021 Australia’s climate is now under the influence of La Niña, and as a result the landscape and weather conditions continue to be vastly different to the previous two years. Weather conditions for the year to date, and the summer climate signals, mean that large parts of New South Wales west of the Great Dividing Range face above normal fire conditions, as well as grassland areas of the ACT and into north eastern Victoria. Grass and crop fires are the main concern in these locations for the summer months as the growth dries out in the warmer weather.

13.01.2022 Today the Brigade will be conducting a hazard reduction burn (Saturday 14th November 2020) at Howlong Redbanks. The burn will start at 11am and finish around 5...pm this evening. We are asking for the community to avoid the area to ensure safety of yourselves and also our fellow firefighters. See more
