25.01.2022 The Bush Fire Danger Period (BFDP) will officially begin for the MIA District on October 01 2020. If you have any Timber, Wood or Pruning's needing to be burnt, please do so before the 01st of October, as these types of burns are not permitted during the BFDP.

During a major incident, the NSW RFS requires items and services such as: Catering Accommodation Fuel Ice Tools Equipment Hire (Generators, Marquees, Portaloos, Skip Bins, Cool Rooms) Cleaning services Transport services (Buses, Private Cars, Freighting) Security services Mechanical services And much more We urgently require a broad range of suppliers for the upcoming fire season. 02.01.2022 Due to the increased risk of fire in the Carrathool, Griffith, Hay, Leeton, Murrumbidgee and Narrandera local government areas, the NSW RFS is requesting harvest operators immediately stop and check local weather conditions before deciding whether it is safe to continue harvesting. The NSW RFS recommends the use of the voluntary grain harvesting guide to help determine if it’s safe to harvest. More details at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/harvesting-guide
