08.01.2022 Are you a person with disability or a carer living in the Bega Valley Shire, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains or Richmond Valley areas of NSW, Australia? Disaster risk management practices that leave nobody behind is a partnership project with NSW State Emergency Service. The University of Sydney is carrying out a project that supports people with disability and carers to prepare for, respond to and recover from a disaster such as pandemic, bushfire, flood etc. The researchers are... keen to learn about your experience in dealing with a disaster, what you could do for yourself and what supports you need from others. This study involves a 30 40-minute survey and a 45-60-minute interview. Your participation will assist the researchers to develop community-based disaster risk management practices that will bring everyone together to increase the resilience of people with disability to disasters.
