21.01.2022 JUNIOR AGL STANDINGS AS OF COMPLETION OF DAY 4 The Gridiron Queensland Sundevils are now the only team without a loss after the NSW Wolverines defeated the WA J...unior Raiders 2017 today. This leaves QLD with a "Win and You're In" scenario for Saturday's clash with WA, with the Raiders hoping to defeat them and take the championship via a head-to-head tie-break (should NSW lose to the All Stars) The All Stars will be looking for their first victory against NSW, doing so would effectively remove the Wolverines from championship contention. A NSW victory would mean both the Wolverines and the Raiders will be counting on WA to defeat QLD and force a three way tie, with all teams then counting on LPA AVG to work in their favour. QLD currently lead LPA AVG with a 2.33 average. Congratulations to Gridiron SA Sharks who have now completed their four games, picking up a victory in their final game today. SATURDAY'S GAMES: 10:30AM: All Stars V NSW Wolverines 1:30PM: QLD Sundevils V WA Raiders All Games are at Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre All Times Local Watch Live: https://livestream.com/accounts/9457344/events/7106372

18.01.2022 Ben Lucas Ben has been involved with the Northern Sydney Rebels since the clubs inception in 2014 and serves as the current defensive back coach. After playing for the NSW Wolfpack last year Ben's passion for the game has seen him become a credited level 1 coach to pass on his knowledge to the younger generation. Fortunate enough to spend 2 years learning under a former Clemson walk on, Ben has developed the tigers attitude and a strong understanding of both the physical and mental requirements of all secondary positions. He is a vocal presence on and off the field and joins the Wolverines this year as our defensive backs coach. #Wolverines2017 #ByAnyMeans

After a break from coaching he linked up with the Central Coast Sharks in 2011 where he currently serves as the HC of their Colts team and as an assistant coach of the division 1 side. Most recently he was an assistant coach for the UTS Colts team which played in last years Kookaburra Bowl. This came about due to the Sharks being unable to field a team in the colts division because of a lack of numbers and the remaining Sharks players transferring to UTS for the 2016 season. Tim is also the current HC of the NSW surge in the LFL, Although the league is currently in hiatus. For the upcoming Wolverines campaign coach Robens will be co-coaching the OL. Also to note, Tim is entering his 18th season as a player this year. #Wolverines2017 #ByAnyMeans

08.01.2022 Mitch Woellner Mitch comes to us from the Wollongong Mustangs where he most recently served as head coach of the colts team. He spent his playing days in Canberra where he was a representative player for the ACT Monarchs. Unfortunately a serious knee injury ended his playing career but his passion for the game never left and after relocating to NSW he took up a coaching role in the Illawarra. Aside from coaching Mitch has an active role shaping the game in NSW as he is a memb...er of the GNSW executive. 05.01.2022 With the nationals fast approaching we will be introducing our coaching staff for the tour. The Wolverines have a vast array of coaches and support staff from several different teams and they are all very excited to contribute to the growth of NSW's under 19's program. Kicking things off we have: Zach McKay Zach is our physiotherapist, born and raised on the New South Wales Central Coast, but now residing on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. He is the team physio for the Northe...rn Sydney Rebels, where he has provided physio coverage for trainings and game days. This has involved on-field injury assessment, as well as sideline treatment and management. Zach has been involved in sport since an early age, mostly in representative long-course swimming and rock climbing, Whilst never playing the sport he has had a long standing interest in gridiron and it's unique combination of physical fitness and strategy-based gameplay. With his family originating from Boston, his favourite NFL team is the New England Patriots. Since graduating with both a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from UNSW and a Masters of Physiotherapy from USYD in 2013, Zach has obtained extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of both musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. Being a sucker for punishment, he is working towards completing a double specialisation Masters degree in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy. We are excited to have someone as well credentialed as Zach join our staff for the 2017 nationals. #Wolverines2017 #ByAnyMeans

04.01.2022 Antonio Piscioneri Coach Piscioneri has been mainstay in the Wolverines set up since close to inception. Whether as a positional coach, coordinator or head coach. Antonio is currently the HC of new GNSW club the Macarthur Rampage and has coached at nearly all levels of the game in this county. Colts, Seniors, Wolverines, Wolfpack and Outback. He has done it all. Not only does he coach but is also a member of this years GNSW executive. 01.01.2022 ------ NSW STATE ANNOUNCEMENT------ 19th January 2018 It is with great excitement and pleasure that we announce the redesigned NSW STATE brand.... While our individual state programs still maintain their own identities Wolverines, Coyotes and Wolfpack, nevertheless we take this opportunity to explain the message behind the changing face of NSW STATE and our unified tagline #RunWithThePack The new brand identity more accurately portrays the state program that we envision for the future. Bold, successful and professional. Creating a successful program is our driving principle; NSW State Programs Manager Stephen Armstrong has worked hard to develop all three programs under the same banner - creating a unified and identifiable brand. "Since taking on the role of state teams coordinator one of the first objectives on my list was to rebrand the state teams under the one banner. There is a lot of sentiment and history when it comes to the team names so rather then scrap them we have kept the individual identities under the new name of NSW STATE. We are now linked as program and are not just a loosely affiliated group of teams. I believe the fresh new look along with the our apparel partnership with Tribal Sport will inspire players across the league to want to join the program and will be the catalyst for improved results on the field in 2018." As an organisation, we have invested heavily in our people and processes. This years NSW STATE squads will feature and array of talented coaches and players for all across the league and our aim is to continually develop our program across the board to achieve future success on and off the field. The new brand reflects the innovative new board and culture that we are working towards. Gridiron NSW is looking forward to launching the brand new look and feel for NSW STATE. For more information on the NSW STATE program please contact: Stephen Armstrong [email protected] #RunWithThePack #NSWSTATE
