21.01.2022 Some serious expansion is underway at NSW Bamboo. Laying irrigation to get ready for our new seasons crop of Gracilis Slender Weaver bamboo plants.

18.01.2022 What is a 300mm pot? When nurseries talk about 300mm pots, we mean that the diameter of the pot is 30cm. Here the boys are madly working to move our "babies" (currently in 200mm pots) into 300mm pots. These particular plants wont be for sale until they are well established and have at least 6-7 stems (culms) and are 3m high. In the meantime, we have about 600-700 of the established plants in 300mm that were potted into the 300mm pots last year all ready to go.

16.01.2022 Check out our beautiful Gracilis Slender Weaver Bamboo plants in 400mm pots. These babies are 4 metres high and each have about 8 - 10 culms (poles). Way to get an instant privacy screen!

14.01.2022 Gracilis Slender Weaver bamboo is a versatile, fast growing, non-invasive bamboo. This plant was bout 3 metres tall & bushy at the top. I wanted to put it on my verandah so I trimmed it off to about 1.8 metres. I wasnt worried about trimming it because I know how quickly it grows. Here are some photos from the first 3 weeks of spring.

13.01.2022 Gracilis Slender Weaver Bamboo is a non-invasive, clumping bamboo. Bamboo is a unique and beautiful plant which is often misunderstood. Many people are unaware of the difference between running bamboo and clumping bamboo. Running bamboo is an invasive plant which can spread underground, with new culms (stems) surfacing up to 6 metres from the original plant each growing season. NSW Bamboo does not produce or sell any forms of running bamboo.... Clumping bamboo is non-invasive. New culms (stems) grow directly next to the original plant.

10.01.2022 NSW Bamboo has 200mm pots of Gracilis Slender Weaver for sale for a limited time only. Gracilis is easy to grow but difficult to propagate. Successfully striking these from cuttings or layerings requires a lot of time, expertise and the right equipment. We dont normally sell it in smaller sizes because we have always needed to hold on to them to be able to keep up with the demand for the larger, more established plants that people love to use to create their instant garden.... However, due to popular demand, we are selling 200mm pots of gracilis for a limited time only. Our 200mm pots (meaning the pot is 20cm in diameter) are a minimum of 1 metre tall. If you are buying up to 25 plants the cost is $50 per plant. If you are buying 26 or more the cost is $47 per plant (prices include GST). Gracilis is a beautiful, fast growing, hardy, non-invasive bamboo that reached 7-8 metres tall. If you plant these out now, by this time next year they will be over 2.5 metres tall and by the year after theyll be over 3.5 metres tall.
