23.01.2022 The warmer weather has finally arrived and that means plenty of people will be taking advantage of our beautiful outdoors. Whether you’re heading off the beate...n track, or closer to home, download the updated Emergency + app. The app works across Australia, using GPS functionality built into smartphones to help a Triple Zero (000) caller provide critical location details required to mobilise emergency services. The updated app now includes ‘what3words’, a software enhancement allowing Triple Zero (000) callers to provide their exact location quickly and accurately with just three words describing the address to assist responding emergency services. Save the app that could save your life. Download at https://www.triplezero.gov.au/tripl/smartphone-applications

22.01.2022 Tragicallly, two people have passed away in a canyoning incident at Wollangambe One canyon in the Blue Mountains of NSW. At this stage, the incident is still under investigation and full details are not known. Please do not speculate at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the canyoners family, friends, and fellow club members. NPWS and NSW Police have declared Wollangambe One canyon closed until further notice.... Canyoning is conducted in a high risk environment and weather can change quickly. With rains forecast for extended periods and water levels and dynamic complexities increasing, please choose your canyoning trips carefully based on your training, skill, preparation, and experience level. If you are unsure, say No, and leave it for another time. Please carry emergency equipment such as PLB's, radio's, rescue gear, and survival gear. See more
