01.01.2022 On 24 November, Bellingen Shire Council and NSW Food Authority co-hosted a Resilience and Food Safety Forum for local restaurants, cafes, market stall holders and small producers to learn how to diversify their business and build greater resilience in the aftermath of this year’s bushfires and COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees heard presentations on business growth, support and food regulation, foodborne illness, potentially hazardous food, temperature control, cleaning and sanitising, pest control and allergies, and the legal challenges of mandatory and voluntary NSW labelling requirements.
