13.01.2022 National Recycling Week kicks off today (9-15 Nov). This year's theme is 'Beyond the Bin'. It reminds us all that we need to think about what we buy, how we use our items and what happens after they are placed in our kerbside bins. Here are our top tips to think 'beyond the bin': 1. Keep products in use for as long as possible. If you are finished with an item consider if it can be reused, donated or sold. 2. Buy products made with recycled content and that can be recycled ...again. 3. Check your council’s website if you don’t know if an item can be recycled. Rather than the bin, it may need to be taken to a Community Recycling Centre or collected as part of a Council clean up. Our Community Recycling Centres play an important role in keeping problem waste out of our bins and increasing the opportunity for recycling. Learn more at www.cleanout.com.au See more
