23.01.2022 A wild and wonderful day today for some of the children at PLKCC with a FANTASTIC wildlife show from Norman at N&S Snake Catcher Ipswich, Brisbane & Logan 0415136941 N&S Wildlife Demonstrations The children were very curious and enthusiastic to learn all about the different wildlife animals brought into the centre today. During this experience we all got the opportunity to get up close and personal as Norman explained all about each individual animal, how and where they live, what they eat and much more, supporting our connection to the world around us. Providing a connection to the natural world and teaching us about respect for all living things.

17.01.2022 One of my favorite things to do, is switch out War Machines hammock. War Machine is currently my oldest girl. She will be a grandmother spider very soon. She... hasnt made her own web in awhile. She is still active, still very able and willing to hunt on her own, and very interested in sticking her little head out and seeing whats going on. But without the ability to make web she cannot build a hammock to sleep in, or hide out in and feel safe. This is where my younger spiders come in. They build hammocks everywhere. Then they leave them and build more hammocks. Its like they take the ability to produce web for granted. But their abandoned hammock or old molting web is a treasure to a spider like War Machine. After awhile the one she is using gets too disheveled and messed up, so they get replaced with another one that was left behind and forgotten. This is after i show her the new one, and she crawled inside, and excitedly adjusted it to her liking, made it her own, and settled in. See more
