25.01.2022 Due to new health guidelines for junior sport released by NSW Health we have been forced to further postpone the 2020 NSW Championships. RPAYC are actively looking at their sailing calendar for another suitable date later in the year and we will provide an update soon.

23.01.2022 Congratulations to Woollahra Sailing Club and commiserations to Middle Harbour... but how awesome that the top two club performances at the Nationals were our NSW "harbour neighbours". :)

18.01.2022 UPDATE: ACT Championship Due to the current COVID restrictions which restrict travel between zones in Sydney and for the ACT prevent competitors from Greater Sydney we are withholding the NOR and Entry for this event from going live. We are optimistically hopeful that these guidelines may be eased at the end of September and will make a decision by Tue 6th October as to whether to proceed or not. Thank you to all for their continued patience.

17.01.2022 Take me back to the summer time!

17.01.2022 Rosa from RPAYC. One of our up and coming NSWIODA sailors at the ACT State Champs Canberra. Her first regatta. Thanks for the advice Rosa!

15.01.2022 The annual NSWIODA OptiChicks camp is on again and Hunters Hill Sailing Club have planned a very special program for our female sailors.

14.01.2022 The view from HHSC will be epic!

14.01.2022 SAILING IS BACK!!! :) Australian Sailing have advised that the COVID restrictions preventing travel between regions for competition have been lift and so the first regatta available to our eager sailors is the RPAYC Bubble Cup this coming long weekend. See below for entry details. https://www.topyacht.com.au/entreg/enter.php

14.01.2022 Cyc held a great regatta (as usual). The Greens have laughed, learnt and hopefully set the foundations for a life-long love of sailing. The opens and inters have battled hard. ... One more race to go......

13.01.2022 Opti chicks!!!! Please register ASAP for this awesome event (and arguably the best view of Sail GP at HHSC for sailing star spotting!). https://www.optinsw.org.au/events/57681/

13.01.2022 School is back which means that TT5 is just around the corner!!! Sunday 16th February at Middle Harbour Yacht Club. See the link below to enter... https://www.optinsw.org.au/events/57679/

12.01.2022 Update: 2021 Australian Championship As many have noted the NOR and Entries for the 2021 Australian Championship in Perth have not been made public due to borde...r restrictions within Australia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are constantly reviewing the COVID-19 situation and the resulting border restrictions and are working on a range of contingencies. AIODA will make a firm decision on the Nationals by September 18. 04.01.2022 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS POSTPONED Due to the uncertainty and rapidly changing landscape we find ourselves in with the global Covid-19 pandemic the NSWIODA Committee has made the decision to postpone the State Championships scheduled for 28-29 March. The Committee is highly conscious of the Chief Health Officer's updated advice issued on Monday 16 March for the public to avoid all non-essential travel and the advice from Australian Sailing that they have cancelled all of their eve...nts, courses and seminar through until June. We are in discussions with RPAYC to reschedule the event to a new date, most likely in August or September, however with the ongoing uncertainty we will hold a final decision until we have more clarity on the situation- hopefully early in Term 2. All entries received to date will remain valid for the rescheduled event. For sailors who will unfortunately not be able to attend the rescheduled event a full refund of the event entry and any pre-paid lunches will be available. Yours in Sailing, Jeremey Atkinson President, NSWIODA
