25.01.2022 When it comes to climate change, Scott Morrison only listens to his climate-denying backbench.

25.01.2022 Have you RSVP'd for our Online Convention? Make sure you join us and hear from our Federal Labor Leader, Anthony Albanese! RSVP here: https://bit.ly/333pmF9

23.01.2022 During a recession the Government should not be cutting wages. Teachers, health care workers and our emergency services deserve a pay rise, not a pay cut.

23.01.2022 Scott Morrison has repeatedly said that vaccinating all Australians is "not a race". He might be the only person in the country who thinks that.

23.01.2022 It’s pretty simple.

23.01.2022 Tonight the Government will deliver their budget. We need a budget that will create jobs and look after those who are vulnerable, not tax cuts for the top end of town.

23.01.2022 Scott Morrison is failing Australians.

21.01.2022 Happy 130th birthday to us

20.01.2022 72 years ago, the first car wholly manufactured in Australia was produced: a Holden. In 2013, Liberal Treasurer Joe Hockey dared Holden to leave Australia. Three years ago, they did. ... And they took tens of thousands of high-skilled, well-paid manufacturing jobs with them. Australian manufacturers need a government that actually believes in their future. They need a Labor Government.

20.01.2022 Health outcomes shouldn't be determined by your postcode. But under the Berejiklian Government, that's exactly what's happening. Despite near-record population growth, a report released yesterday revealed that South West Sydney hospitals and health services have been chronically underfunded.... For residents, that means longer wait times, being forced to travel long distances for care, and medical staff facing shortages of key equipment. This neglect must end now.

19.01.2022 Despite a Royal Commission into aged care Scott Morrison has done nothing.

19.01.2022 We need national quarantine facilities. Now.We need national quarantine facilities. Now.

18.01.2022 Our frontline workers deserve better

17.01.2022 The liberals and nationals are refusing to do their fair share for public hospitals.

17.01.2022 Qantas took over $800 million in public JobKeeper money and promised to keep workers connected to their jobs. Now, they're sacking another 2000 workers. And Scott Morrison isn't doing anything about it.

17.01.2022 We need a government that backs Australian manufacturers rather sending jobs offshore.

17.01.2022 BREAKING: NSW Industrial Relations Commission has slashed over 400,000 public sector workers wages

16.01.2022 Because NSW made means NSW jobs.

16.01.2022 A report into health services in the South-West Sydney region was released today - and it was damning. It revealed that local health and hospital services have been subject to historic levels of underfunding. That's despite near-record population growth in the area.... It also found that people living in South-West and Western Sydney face much longer waiting times for essential health services than the rest of the Sydney metropolitan area, are forced to travel long distances for care that should be local, and that medical staff face shortages of key equipment. The NSW Government must urgently implement the recommendations of the report. Lives are at stake.

15.01.2022 On this day in 1890, the Labor and Trades Council passed the resolution that effectively created the Australian Labor Party. Here, the values of equality, fairness, democracy and justice have found a permanent home. From those early beginnings, and for 130 years, our Party has made and unmade social conditions informed by those values.... Since then, we've worked towards ending oppressive working conditions, protecting our fragile ecosystem, and ending all forms of discrimination. And we've delivered the lasting reforms of superannuation, Medicare and the NDIS.

14.01.2022 Let’s go NSW!

12.01.2022 We will remember them. Lest we forget.

10.01.2022 It’s time to act.

09.01.2022 In case you missed it, last week the Liberals & Nationals did something shameful - even for them. We joined crossbenchers in the Upper House to back an increase in ICAC funding of $7.3 million. That's just the amount needed to keep up with inflation. The Liberals and Nationals voted against it - but it still passed.... Then, instead of returning the Budget bills to the Upper House, the Government instead presented the Budget directly to the Governor. This is an unprecedented move. All to avoid supporting an increase in funding to allow ICAC to do its job. What a disgrace.

09.01.2022 Before the last election, Gladys Berejiklian promised no further privatisation. She lied. Treasurer Dominic Perrottet has admitted he's got a whole list of our assets that he wants to sell off.... Add your name to tell the Government that public assets should remain in public hands.

08.01.2022 This is just not good enough.

08.01.2022 45 years ago today, Sir John Kerr dismissed Gough Whitlam from office. It was a moment that changed Australia forever. We'll never forget the Whitlam Government's historic achievements.

08.01.2022 Today is Mabo Day - 29 years ago since the High Court handed down its Mabo decision, at last overturning the legal fiction of Terra Nullius. Today, we celebrate the life and work of Eddie Koiki Mabo and his fight for native title, those who fought alongside him, and those who are still fighting for justice.

07.01.2022 In NSW it's Labour Day and today I'll think about the guy front and centre of this pic: my old man. Dad worked as a welder all his working life. Tough job, too...k a lot out of him. Having time to rest and recover from that work always meant something to him and his work mates. Labour Day let’s us remember the efforts of the Eight Hour Movement, spearheaded by unions. Making sure ordinary workers were treated better. Started with better hours but led to other things that made a difference: overtime, penalty rates, maternity and paternal leave, workplace health and safety, superannuation. All things worth fighting for then - and today. This year Labour Day takes new meaning, with a pandemic pressuring our economy and jobs. But that doesn’t mean we forget the value of this day and the value of the struggle

06.01.2022 Gladys Berejiklian lied about privatising assets. She lied about her knowledge of Daryl Maguire’s dodgy dealings. She shredded the government documents that showed her wrongdoing.... She lied about her Covid test. What else is she hiding?

05.01.2022 Health Department Secretary Brendan Murphy has conceded the federal government could have acted faster to contain the deadly spread of COVID-19

05.01.2022 Australia went into the coronavirus pandemic with less than one mask for every Australian in the National Medical Stockpile, an over-reliance on global supply chains, and badly stretched aged and health care systems. We must be prepared for the future.

05.01.2022 The NSW Government has been using an accounting gimmick to inflate the budget by tens of billions of dollars. For years, the NSW Budget has been based on a lie - and the Berejiklian Government tried to cover it up.

01.01.2022 Former Liberal Leader John Hewson agrees, delaying the superannuation increase will do nothing but hurts workers
