23.01.2022 A busy weekend this weekend for the volunteers of the Shoalhaven. We have two Crew Leader Courses and a Village Fire Fighter course all being conducted by our dedicated instructors who give up their free time. Without these dedicated training volunteers, other volunteers within the Service can not progress their fire fighting skills.

21.01.2022 I was privileged to be able to attend the NSW Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards, with two of our wonderful volunteers who were finalists. Velma Walker and Wendy Roberts represented the Shoalhaven, with Wendy talking home the awards for NSW RFS Officer if the year and the NSW Volunteer Officer of the year. I am humbled to be in the presence of both these ladies. Well done Wendy and Velma on your outstanding achievements for the RFS and the NSW community. Congratulations Wendy for being awarded the NSW Volunter of the year, it’s well deserved.

13.01.2022 What a great article. It gives insight as to why we don't react the way we plan, even after developing a bushfire survival plan. https://mobile.abc.net.au//how-to-plan-and-prepa/12796906

05.01.2022 There's still time for you to share your experiences as part of the research the UOW: University of Wollongong, Australia and the Bushfire and Natural Hazards C...RC are carrying out on our behalf following last bush fire season... The 2019-20 season was the most challenging NSW has ever faced - and took an enormous toll on our communities. After major events like this, we conduct research to better understand how people prepared and responded to the fires. You may have been impacted by the fires, or you may have been travelling in an area that was impacted. If so, we are keen to hear from you.
