24.01.2022 Round 1 - Final Results Congratulations to Mamre Juniors and Ku-ring-gai Seniors for taking out the top spots in Round 1. In both the streams positions 5th, 6th and 7th were exceptionally close with only a couple of points separating them in the end. ... Northern Tablelands, lead by Shae Raw just managed to pip Illawarra in a count back, while in the Seniors Southampton from Clarence Valley District claimed the final spot. Congratulations to all teams that took part. Individual results will be emailed to the teams directly tomorrow.

24.01.2022 Its beginning to look at lot like State Champs. From Balldale in the south to Inverell in the north our industrious crews are getting ready to welcome our Grand Finalist tomorrow.

23.01.2022 The Marshals are continuing to send through the scores and we can now release ... the top 3 placegetters for Scenario 1 - Fireground Fundamentals Task 2 - Collector. PLEASE NOTE: The overall ranking is a live field which calculates all the scenarios. There are still a lot of results to be judged over the next couple of days and these positions will continue to change as individual teams results are entered.

23.01.2022 We are very close to finalising Scenario 1 - Random jag. Just a little heads up for our seniors, the top three scores overall are currently held by junior teams . In breaking news we can advise that well have our own roving reporter James L Morris with a/Deputy Commissioner Peter McKechnie as he announces the overall results. Join us right here at 3:30pm.

22.01.2022 Tonight Commissioner Rob Rogers presented the 2020 NSW RFS Senior State Champions Oakville with their trophy. Ably assisted by Gilbert & Roach Huntingwood representative Rob Butcher and NSW RFSA representative Ken Middleton, the Commissioner also awarded place getters Mt Keira and Ku-ring-gai with their trophies. Congratulations to each of them for outstanding effort in a very challenging iteration of the State Champs. We haven’t forgotten our Junior Champions,Thurgoona or place getters Narrabri, a trophy presentation is coming your way very soon.

22.01.2022 Watch out Oakville Rural Fire Brigade, the new kids on the block are gunning for your title.

21.01.2022 Drum roll!!!! The results are in!

21.01.2022 Some deserved media coverage for our new Junior State Champs - Thurgoona.

20.01.2022 Well, has everyone caught there breath yet? What a ride the 2020 State Championships was. Congratulations to our overall Champions Oakville and Thurgoona, and a great big thank you to all the teams who competed throughout the Championships. Normally we would have had the prize giving immediately following cessation of scenarios, but like the rest of the Championships COVID has meant we will be doing that a little differently too. We will be working with each area over the next few weeks to arrange a suitable time for localised trophy presentations to the scenario winners and trophy and prize presentation for the overall Champions.

20.01.2022 Thurgoona Juniors - Official Legends Thurgoona, competing in the Junior stream, completed Scenario 3 - Bucket from the 20 metre line! We've seen it and we believe it! It's no surprise that they are the big movers in the Junior competition. Orana appears in the Top 10 for the first time.... In the Seniors the first 4 continue to jockey for position while the real battle seems to be for 5th and 6th places which remain wide open. With around 80% of the scores now in we're still on track to have the provisional results released tomorrow afternoon.

18.01.2022 Straight through to the Grand Finale! As the final number of teams who competed in Round 1 over the weekend was down on the number registered, there is no longer a need to conduct Round 2. So now the top 6 qualifiers from each stream in Round 1 will proceed directly to the Grand Finale on Saturday 12 September.... We will be providing you with regular updates of the Top 10 Live Leaderboard right here. We have currently only completed around 30% of the scores so things will change as we enter more results. We are aiming to have all scores audited and entered by the end of Thursday this week.

18.01.2022 Let’s catch up with some of our northern teams. We present to you - Narrabri Seniors.

17.01.2022 And now it's on to the Grand Finale! The 12 teams who successfully made it through Round 1 will soon receive invitations to compete at the Grand Finale, and perhaps win their way to a Champions title. Like most things this year, the State Champs final round will look a little bit different. Instead of a central event the Grand Finale will be split over a number of satellite locations, and each team will go to their nearest location on Saturday 12 September to complete ident...ical scenarios under the watchful eyes of our dedicated team of marshals and judges. Equally dedicated are our scenario designers, hard at work right now putting the finishing touches on their masterpieces. So dedicated, in fact, that some of them offered to try out the scenarios themselves - let's hope our finalists can do better than this lot!

17.01.2022 You can now see all the scenario results at rfsstatechampionships.com.au thanks to our portal sponsors WesTrac Cat. Overall results: Seniors 3rd Ku-ring-gai (Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai)... 2nd Mt Keira (Illawarra) 1st Oakville (Hawkesbury) So that's a clean sweep for Greater Sydney Area Command! Juniors 3rd Narrabri Juniors (Naomi/Gwydir) 2nd Mamre Cadets (Cumberland) 1st Thurgoona (Southern Border) That's one each for North Western, Greater Sydney and South Western Area Commands.

16.01.2022 Good luck tomorrow, Thurgoona Juniors!

14.01.2022 Heres a VERY IMPORTANT message from our sensational Major Partners the NSW RFSA.

14.01.2022 Our good friend Benjamin Albers Rfs from the Cumberland Zone office has helped us out in presenting Mamre Cadets with their trophy for second overall at this years State Champs. The presentation was part of a special school assembly where Tanya Davies MP also announce a grant as part of the 2019 Community Building Partnership program for a brand new training ground with state of the art facilities. Well done Mamre Cadets.

13.01.2022 Thurgoona cadets trying to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, or the State Champs trophy. We are still trying to figure out which one it is...

12.01.2022 Anyone else think our team at the Balldale site looked decidedly dodgy? If it wasnt for the awesome COVIDSafe masks from our wonderful sponsor Firefighters Mutual Bank Id swear this was a lineup. Now, lets play a game of tag that felon

12.01.2022 Results have been completed for Scenario 1 - The random jag. Taking out 2nd place in the Juniors were Riverina Highlands Cadets And 3rd place in the Seniors were Ku-ring-gai ... I didnt say I was going to tell who the winners were did I! That pleasure gets to go to a Deputy Commissioner (and he outranks me by a LOT!).

11.01.2022 This time next week well know our NSW RFS State Champions for 2020. Will Oakville be able to defend their title or will Narrabri finally take out the top spot after finishing in the places for the last two events. Davidson and Ku-ring-gai looked good in qualifying and you cant discount newbies Mt Keira and Southampton after their strong showing. In the junior competition traditional powerhouses St Pauls are back with Riverina Highlands and Northern Tablelands. Narrabri co...ntinues to punch above their weight with the small rural brigade again qualifying in both streams while newcomers Mamre and Thurgoona looked like contenders in qualifying. Thanks to our team of wonderful partners like Coates Hire, the teams will all be competing close to home at sites in Balldale, The Oaks and Inverell. So whos got Narrabri for the clean sweep?

10.01.2022 One of the tasks in the Fireground Fundamentals event was to draft a social media post, below is the winning post as judge by our NSW RFS media representative. Congratulations Davidson Bravo. Preparing for the upcoming fire season can be cleaning out gutters, discussing your Bushfire Survival Plan with your family.. or in our case, competing against other Brigades from across the State at the 2020 NSW RFS State Championship Grand Finals. Unlike us, you dont need to put in weeks of training to be on your A Game for this coming bushfire season - just visit myfireplan.com.au.

10.01.2022 a/Deputy Commissioner Peter McKechnie is just having his hair and make-up fixed and will be on air in the next few minutes.

10.01.2022 Anyone else think our team at the Balldale site looked decidedly dodgy? If it wasn’t for the awesome COVIDSafe masks from our wonderful sponsor Firefighters Mutual Bank I’d swear this was a lineup. Now, let’s play a game of tag that felon

09.01.2022 Oh dear, looks like some of the poor teams are starting to get a little tired ....

08.01.2022 A Message from Mamre Cadets WET WET WET! Even the rain today didnt stop Mamre Cadets doing their last training session in preparation for Saturday. Thank you Erskine Park RFB for the loan of the truck and the wet weather jackets!

08.01.2022 Attention finalist teams - check your inboxes now! The Grand Finale equipment list has been released on our www.rfsstatechampionships.com.au online portal.

07.01.2022 The last updates to the scores have been posted for the evening. The Marshals and State Champs Operations Centre (SCOC) will continue to work through the night to finalise the scores and we will advise on an announcement time in the morning. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and staff who volunteered for making today possible. Whether working in logistics, the central commentary position, marshalling or in the IMT without your efforts we couldnt have delivered the three sites.

06.01.2022 End of day scoring UPDATE The Marshals have been laid off, err we mean stood down for the day. Massive day and still some work to do to get all the scores in and the final placings confirmed. At the end of the day in the Junior competition Illawarra have sneaked into the 6 with defending Junior Champions Gundagai holding on, while in the Seniors Belrose is making a run and defending Champions Oakville are starting to muscle up.... With 50% of the scores left to be entered, its still a mystery as to who is going to the Grand Finale.

05.01.2022 Morning Grand Finalists, up and at em! For those teams heading to The Oaks site this morning you can add foggy to your IAP. Thanks to our online portal sponsors WesTrac Cat we will be running a live leaderboard on the rfsstatechampionships.com.au portal. Remember it works a lot like a car race qualifying leaderboard in that not all teams may have competed in all scenarios so it changes after every run.... Well see the Grand Finalist at the Crew Leader briefing at 07:45hrs and for the rest of you stay tuned for all the days excitement. Now where did I leave that coffee ...

05.01.2022 And while we're waiting congratulations to Thurgoona and Ku-ring-gai for taking 2nd place in Scenario 2 - Breeched as.

04.01.2022 Talking to defending champions Oakville

03.01.2022 Top 10 Live Leaderboard UPDATE Some significant movement on the leader board today. In the Junior stream Narrabri and Mamre continue to consolidate their positions at the top of the table, but Northern Tablelands have snuck into the 6 with South West Slopes and Northern Beaches up into the 10. Ku-ring-gai have surged to the top of the Seniors with Davidson Bravo into the 6 and Southampton still clinging on to a spot in the 6. ... Don't book your trip to Wollongong just yet, plenty more scores to come with many of the times still to be "adjusted" by the Marshals. Did you notice how we managed to slipped in a little love for our good friends and long time supporters the NSW RFSA?

03.01.2022 Our finalists have just received their Grand Finale Training Guide. Once they've master those they'll then have to travel to one of the local host sites at Inverell, The Oaks or Balldale to complete the 5 fiendish scenarios. Pencil in Saturday 12 September to stay right here as we keep you up to date with live results (and hopefully some snippets of footage ) Any early tips on the team to beat?

02.01.2022 We have a special message from NSW RFS Commissioner Rob Rogers for those teams who are competing in today's Championships. Over to you Commissioner....

02.01.2022 Another of the tasks in the Fireground Fundamentals event involved using the Collector app. The best teams as judged by representatives of the NSW RFS GIS team were; Juniors - Mamre Cadets Seniors - Oakville... So, how will this affect the overall results in the Fireground Fundamentals event . . .

02.01.2022 Lets catch up with some of our northern teams. We present to you - Narrabri Seniors.

01.01.2022 Seems like the juniors teams are getting in a little extra training

01.01.2022 Kicking off State Champs
