22.01.2022 Average speed cameras are being installed on motorways and in tunnels across Sydney in response to the increase in heavy vehicles travelling through the city. Where average speed cameras are already operating in NSW, there’s been a 44% reduction in fatalities from crashes involving heavy vehicles compared to the 5 years before the cameras’ installation.
