Split the following roles up between passengers to help the driver do their job: * Lookout: scans and warns the driver of hazards and dangers * Timekeeper: plans roadside stops at least every 2 hours to stop, revive, survive... * Navigator: provides map directions to the driver * Investigator- looks up petrol stations, food stops, toilets * Responder: responsible for replying to texts or phone calls on behalf of the driver * DJ: controls music and volume See more

15.01.2022 With end of school, Christmas and summer holidays coming there'll be plenty of opportunities to celebrate. Think about how you'll travel to and from your events. Have a plan B to keep yourself and friends safe. If you're walking:... do it with others to avoid being alone put your phone away stop, look, listen, think every time you cross a road use footpaths, pedestrian and traffic light crossings Use Uber or taxi and split the cost between your mates if you've got a long way to go. 15.01.2022 The beginning and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools. We all have a responsibility to help keep them safe by modelling legal, safe and considerate pedestrian and driver behaviours. Remember:... drop your child off and pick them up on the school side of the road never call out to them from across the road - it's dangerous follow all parking signs and park responsibly even if it means you have to walk further to the school gate never double park - it's illegal and puts children at risk never do a U-turn or a three point turn outside the school always give way to pedestrians particularly when entering and leaving driveways. 10.01.2022 Does your child ride their bike on the footpath? Key points to discuss with all children: - cyclists must keep to the left and give way to pedestrians - always wear a correctly fitted helmet - on shared paths, riders are encouraged to leave a metre of space with other pedestrians, where possible... - be alert near driveways where vehicles may be driving in or out - plan routes using quieter streets, bicycle paths or shared paths - at intersections, all riders must get off their bike and wheel it across the road, as a pedestrian.
