18.01.2022 The wind has changed direction again. We are seeing alot of smoke from the ebor and coast fires. Please do not call emergency service's for the worry of smoke. Please only call if you find a fire unattended by emergency service's. People with breathing issues please stay inside with your windows closed. Please think smart and stay safe.

18.01.2022 Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends and colleagues of the firefighters that have tragically lost their lives overnight. The NSW Rural Fire Service confirms that two NSW RFS volunteer firefighters have died tonight near Buxton, in south western Sydney. The deaths occurred following a vehicle rollover earlier this evening during firefighting operations. It is believed the vehicle, while travelling in convey, hit a tree before rolling off the road.... Another three firefighters have received injuries as a result of the accident. The Service’s thoughts are with all the firefighter’s family, friends and fellow brigade members. This is an absolutely devastating event in what has already been an incredibly difficult day and fire season.

16.01.2022 The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) confirms that a NSW RFS volunteer firefighter has died this evening near Jingellic in southern NSW. A further two firefighters on the same truck have suffered burns and are being conveyed to hospital. The firefighters were working on the Green Valley, Talmalmo Fire, approximately 70km east of Albury when it’s believed that the truck rolled when hit by extreme winds associated with the fire.... A second vehicle working in the same area was also blown over and the firefighter on board has been transported to hospital. Narrabri Brigade's thoughts are with all the firefighter’s families, friends and fellow brigade members. Thoughts with Sam's family friends & work mates.
