20.01.2022 Everyone reacts to the impacts of COVID-19 differently. Even though there are many things you cannot control, there are many things you can do to improve your mental well-being.

20.01.2022 NORTH HEAD DRIVE CLOSURE | A section of North Head Drive from south of the Moruya Airport turnoff to the granite quarry will be closed for five weeks from M...onday 24 May to allow major road rebuilding and safety improvement works. Commuters including cyclists, and those heading north to the airport from Moruya will need to use the Princes Highway and Broulee Road. If you're accessing Moruya Airport, the racecourse or speedway you should allow additional time to travel via the alternate route while North Head Drive is closed. We know there's multiple road closures and delays around atm - floods, bad weather and bushfire recovery work have combined to push scheduled programs of work. Delays and detours are frustrating for everyone, but this is important work that needs doing to improve road safety. North Head Drive is expected to reopen Wednesday 30 June, weather permitting. 06.01.2022 Just a Reminder on how Important it is to Clean your Gutters, Downpipes and Drains Regularly.... It is important to keep your gutters and downpipes clear as blockages can cause the water to overflow under the eaves in the roof cavity. Clear leaves from the valleys of your roof as these will make their way into the gutters in heavy rain. Keep the drains around your property clear to help surface water move away and prevent water from pooling and entering your property. Pot plants in courtyards and around houses are often used to hide drainage grates. Make sure to move these if heavy rain is likely. Remember to park away from low lying areas and drains if heavy rainfall is expected.

05.01.2022 NSW SES Batemans Bay Unit is stoked to announce the addition of a new vehicle to our Fleet. BMB56 is a Isuzu D-Max fitted out with a General Purpose body (GPV) and replaces our Nissan Patrol EURO19. While BMB56 will carry a minimum amount of gear, its advantage lies in the ability that it can be geared up quickly for specific tasks as required. This may be transporting gear on 4wd tracks our Rescue Truck BMB49 cant access. It may see it geared up with Swift Water Techs if theres flooding imminent in the area, or even a simple reconnaissance and command vehicle if were inundated with storm jobs. Its a great asset and were thankful to have it. Keep an eye out for it around the BBay area NSW SES NSW SES Volunteers Association Isuzu UTE Australia #BMB56 #nswsesbbay #NSWSES #isuzu #dmax

04.01.2022 NSW Health is urging Merimbula residents and holidaymakers to be on alert for COVID-19 symptoms after a child holidaying in the area tested positive to COVID-19.... Anyone with even the mildest of respiratory symptoms or fever in the Southern NSW Local Health District area should attend a COVID-19 clinic for testing. The child from Victoria was tested in Melbourne and the results were originally reported to the family as being negative. The case and their family were not from a hotspot when they travelled to NSW on 4 July. After arriving, they were notified that the initial report was an error, and the childs case was positive. Before learning the result the family had visited the Tathra Hotel. The hotel enacted their COVID-19 Safety Plan and although the risk to other patrons and staff is very low, they are being contacted. The case and close contacts are in isolation.
